"The advert on the hotels.com website did not match the facts of the stay. The advert states free parking it was not it cost me £30 for the stay. We spoke to the owner who stated that the advert was not placed by him. It was the fault of hotels.com as he does not use them you get your info from a 3rd party All I know is that I am £30 out of pocket. The stay was good as I can not blame hotels.com for all the rain."

"We have stayed at Astor house before so we came back to the same apartment. They had upgraded the sofas to recliners which was a nice surprise. The apartment itself is easy to get to clean and Torquay town centre is a short walk away. It has a great view over the beach side of Torquay and the area is quiet. The place is clean and well maintained and the host kindly provided some biscuits and milk. I would highly recommend this place."

There is a narrow gravel drive up to the property so Parking was in the village square which was a short walk around the outside of the pub, so not recommended for disabled as there is also steps up to the entrance door. "Overall, I had a really great stay here. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what I needed after long days of traveling around England. The shower had good water pressure, which earns points with me immediately, and the staff was always friendly and helpful. Now for my slightly picky complaints 😂 The water definitely had a chlorine taste to it, the pillows flattened into pancakes about five minutes after putting your head on them, and I was a little surprised there wasn’t complimentary bottled water in the room. None of those things were deal breakers, though. I’d absolutely stay here again — I’d just bring my own water and maybe my own pillow next time!"
