It had a nice vibe but the restaurant that I hoped we would eat at was closed for a private function The smaller bar cafe Berthas meats was excellent and good value Rooms were quite small and NO fridge Clean and tidy but noise from car park was close by

The staff were exceptional. The room could have done with a weather strip on the door as the gap let in the bushfire smoke that we were escaping from. A small fridge would have been great but the staff accommodated us by putting our medication in their fridges & freezers. There was no door on the shower which we thought a little unusual.

I loved the rustic feeling, herb planters, stonework, and general ambiance of Biota Dining and rooms, and enjoyed staying there. Very well priced too.

It's basic but decent. Benefit of the doubt due to the fires but it was pretty dusty. That said I can't to eat not to have a spa day. It didnits iob well.

Location is great, and staff very attentive, getting me ironing facilities quickly, however a bar fridge is sorely needed so guests may store early morning breakfast if leaving early (or for anything else). Even the most basic Air BNB SC has this facility, and there is plenty of space for it. I stayed in December in an East facing room, and needed lights on at 3pm when I checked in, and again on a cloudy morning next day, as these rooms are dark. Despite this, thank you hosts for a lovely stay.

It’s a beautiful relaxing location, rooms are a little dated though. Small tv, the fan and air conditioning were very noisy and the door to the room was hard to close. Bed was hard, found it difficult to sleep. Shame because it is a great location, just needs to be updated.

Nice place but could use some pest control.
Overall great location, lovely concierge desk people and very attentive and helpful. Let down was the room because lots of mosquitoes and drain flies which flew out of the sinks into our cups, bathroom products etc

Positive : Nice boutique style hotel room, with Aircon and electric blanket. Loved Nespresso which refilled each afternoon during our 2nights stay. Negative : but bad shower design, no door means water go everywhere in the bathroom. We stayed 2 nights both days we had to ask to get TV reception. No fridge and no info about Wifi password in the room.

Location was great, very easy to walk into Bowral to shops and cafes. Parking is free and plenty of spaces available. The room was very small and basic, but very clean. No fridge but tea and coffee making facilities are available.

Bed was very comfortable and staff were excellent. Bedside tables were only posts which were not level at all . Electricity outlets were in inconvenient positions . Window coverings were adequate to prevent light entry but not the cold from outside ( which was extreme weather at the time of our visit)

Aloof service, dreadful bitter pod coffee from the bar, restaurant closed next morning so no breakfast available there (this wasn't communicated at time of booking or check-in), very thin old towels in bathroom, cobwebs in ceiling, front window was left open and only discovered in the morning after wondering why it was so cold and noisy, water from shower floods out to the bathroom floor, shower wash had run out, checkout was not available as receptionist couldn't access the office at 9.30am. Paid her the $8 for the awful coffees from the previous day.

I cannot believe people would criticise this motel. I found my overnight stay was brilliant. I was very pleased with the room and facilities. The room was an unexpected standard. There was no fridge but for an overnight stay in winter, so what. I do a lot of work related travel and for the price this was fabulous. I got there late and the owners called me in advance to work out me getting a key. Loved the motel.

The accommodation was adequate however the service in the restaurant was surprisingly poor. We were stuck in a hot and airless section with no option to move to a more comfortable location where we have been more visible to the wait staff.. We were served stale bread that had been toasted hours earlier and had to request that it be replaced and our simple main course was extremely slow in coming. We had to ask if it had been overlooked. Disappointing.

Room is ok but obviously built to a low budget. Pros: bed was comfortable, air con, & a very short distance from the restaurant. Cons: 2018 & NO WIFI !!! Outdated & expensive for the quality of the room. No fridge in the room, which is unacceptable for accommodation in a wine region, or is this purposeful so that guests only buy wines from the bar/restaurant? The room fan during use looks as if it will fly apart & is way too noisy to use. There is no shower curtain or shower alcove door so the floor gets soaking wet. The bathroom basin was blocked & obviously installed in a way that it is not level, so the water doesn’t drain down the sink properly, which is gross when brushing your teeth or shaving. There seemed to be a vomit stain on the carpet in front of the entrance to the bathroom, with remnants of vomit on the stain. After the room was serviced, the stain appeared to be wetter, so it was noticed. (Room 5). The water in the Nespresso coffee maker had a lot of residue in the bottom. Only 2 sachets of sugar with 6 coffee pods (3 are decaf). 1 sachet was not replaced during room service. Why an odd number when the room is usually occupied by 2 people? Only 2 teabags: 1 black tea & 1 green tea. Such a weird choice that makes the hotel look more concerned with saving a few cents than looking after the guests. TV is very small. No cable/movies. Even though some of these issues are minor, we thought for the price, the room & ammenties should have been much better.

The rooms are comfortable, roomy and nicely-styled but this is basic motel accommodation -- which comes as a surprise in comparison to the gourmet / high-end restaurant. There's plenty of noise from the adjacent highway, the TV didn't work, no wifi on offer, and the night I stayed they'd run out of English Breakfast tea bags. The spartan nature of the room was made up for by the friendly service in the restaurant, and the fact that it was very fairly priced.

Nice room, quiet. Not sure if the sheets were cleaned, seemed to be a footprint on the bottom sheet, a large stain and when I pulled the top sheet down the bottom sheet was crumpled and gave me the impression that the sheets had not been changed. Open carafe of water on bench, no fridge, no coffee sachets and no English breakfast tea sachets. The bathroom door had no stopper on it so it banged against the wall when you opened it.

For the price, we were very disappointed. The bed was so uncomfortable, the bathroom needs an upgrade and the coffee machine didn’t work. There wasn’t even a small fridge to keep water cold. The best thing was the location, but next time we’ll stay somewhere else.

Stayed one night, very unusual that the room did not have a fridge. The room did not feel clean, it needed a good spring clean. There was dust on the wooden twig ornament above the bed and there was dust on the skirting boards. The sheets were old and stained. I didn’t feel comfortable during my stay.

Nice looking entrance and restaurant looked nice. The decor is good and i like the aesop products. However bed is not comfortable and the shower is really messy. Also the room had built up dust in areas.
