「Stayed for one night with my boyfriend as a stopover between Sutherland and Cape Town, and honestly wish we’d booked two. Despite booking very last minute, Evelyn made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived with a glass of champagne.

「From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we had amazing service in a very beautiful guesthouse. All our comforts were met, the staff is very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was delicious. The hostess recommended and booked a dinner reservation for us which made our anniversary trip very special indeed. Absolute value for money. Highly recommended. 」

「I’m really happy to have stayed here. The hotel is situated in the prettiest street in town, by many of it’s best eats. The receptionist, Shamiso, made me feel very welcome the entire stay and provided plenty of ideas for hiking, wine tasting or just enjoying the town. Everything was clean and neat, the breakfast varied, delicious, homemade and plentiful. The bartender, Devonne, was delightful and attentive and even surprised me with an impressive live performance on acoustic gitar, good vocals...

「Our room was lovely and clean. The staff was fabulous. Note dear traveler:the Airlies Lodge was not open when we arrived and we banged on the door to no avail. A passerby pointed out that the Monta Villa had taken the property over and was accessible around the corner. Wish Airlies had a sign to that effect. So once we figured it all out, it went well.」
