Our stay was everything we expected and needed it to be. Logan was very accommodating with our check in request. Our room was spotless. The bed was super comfortable. It was very quiet which was a good thing. We didn’t use the pool or hot tub but both looked very clean and well maintained. We will definitely book another stay here.

I booked this as a mother looking for an affordable, easy family weekend. The kitchenette, BBQ, pool and hot tub were major reasons for choosing it, so we could cook, swim and relax without constantly spending money elsewhere. Unfortunately, the pool was unheated and extremely cold, and the hot tub was visibly dirty with a grimy ring even after we were told it had been cleaned. I had purchased groceries specifically to cook for my family, but the BBQ had so much accumulated grease it caused a significant flare-up. The oven was also dirty and produced substantial smoke, with poor ventilation. A greasy silicone sheet was on top of a severely greasy oven bottom to cover up the filth. I could barely pry it off to clean it. The oven light didn’t work and the stove markings had worn away, making the cooking facilities very difficult to use. The bathroom was extremely cramped that water flooded onto the floor, and shelf broken. There were numerous wasps around the roof/awning, and the paper-thin walls meant we were repeatedly woken by loud neighbouring units. Also be aware that Bayfield is not realistically walkable if you plan to have a drink. Taxi is approximately $45 each way. My biggest concern, however, was the response when we raised these issues. Although the owners responded quickly, I was told, “Just don’t leave me a bad review.” I wasn’t looking to write one. I wanted the facilities we had paid for to be clean and usable. Clearly the upkeep was not done.

We liked the location and setting. The suite was very handy for the sitting area and breakfasts in. Beds were comfortable. The only off putting thing was the black mould in the shower. It is more of a ‘cottage feel’ suite- nice touches but not fancy. Nice little pool- emphasis on little. Very helpful cleaning lady, willing to please with extra towels, info etc. Gave 4 stars only because of black mould in shower which really should be fixed.

Unit 3 was clean and well stocked. The staff was awesome. It was pet friendly and the grounds were well maintained. A little further than expected to Grand Bend but that’s on me.

We stayed in an apartment at South Shore Suites and had an excellent experience. The place was spotless, very clean, and well maintained. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the air conditioning was a great plus during our stay. The kitchen was fully equipped, and we appreciated the thoughtful detail of having coffee available for the coffee maker. We also enjoyed the gas BBQ, which is very convenient since you don’t have to worry about charcoal. The pool was great, and the overall environment was peaceful—perfect for relaxing. The location is ideal as well: just 20 minutes from Grand Bend and 5 minutes from Pier Beach. We would definitely come back.

My partner, dog and I loved our stay! Beautiful spot, lovely drive from London, and incredible home. We even chatted about how nice it would be to live here, that’s how comfortable it is. This place was an incredible stay, cozy bed, loads of amenities, and the perfect way to get away from the city. We loved that Logan accommodated our pup vimy, at a very low fee. All three of us got to get away and enjoy a wonderful stay. Beautiful kitchen, nice bathroom, cozy beds. I’ll be sure to return for my partners birthday. I couldn’t be happier with my stay.
