The tops of the lamp shades were dusty. The staff at the front desk were not as friendly as some places. The restaurant staff was friendly. I was able to walk to campus which was good.

Hyatt Place Blacksburg / University
Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Pricing was comparable to ther hotels. It was convenient to VA Tech and meet our needs for this trip.

Mountain Lake Lodge
Everything was nice.we arrived early and wasn't allowed to check in till 4. So don't arrive early. Food was good and the bar was nice.

Comfort Inn Blacksburg University Area
Hotel was conveniently located to the Virginia Tech campus. Staff were friendly. It the internet did not work very well at all - which was problematic. Room was ok but the hotel jacked up prices due to graduation and we paid over $500 per night for a >3 star experience. Breakfast was ok.

Tru By Hilton Christiansburg
Room was clean, bright, well appointed. Bed was nice and firm. Lavazza coffee was a morning welcome for the trip home. Problem was the phantom flushing toilet that “flushed” every 15 minutes. This was quite unsettling/disruptive.
