"The pictures make it out to be a lot more rustic than it really is. The cottages are actually very neat and polished. If you have an irrational fear of sheep, you won't like it here. Plenty of cookware and dishes. Your cooking apparatus is a two hob induction that works very well once you figuprovid"

"Loved the location and the option to have drinks in the bar. The view was spectacular and we had 3 sheep lounging outside our patio one morning, that was a nice treat! The room however was super hot at night even with all the windows open, apparently there is no way to control in room temp in the multi-unit building. That was a big negative for us. Also the hostel that is part of the complex meant common areas were always occupied by kids lounging. This was the most expensive nightly hotel rate I have ever paid, so would choose other options if travelling to Vik again."

"If you are going to visit points of interest in the southern portion of Iceland this is a great place centrally located for your base lodging. About 10 km from the town of Vik.
