What a great place to stay, the room was very nice and the common area spaces were comfortable and they even have a shared kitchen and dining space to prepare your own meals and hang out. Would highly recommend!

We stayed in one of the rooms (not one of the camp sites). There was originally a small mix up with the rooms (they gave us keys to the wrong room) but fixed it immediately and were helpful. Room was nice, had a sink available. Bathroom was shared with other guests in the building. Bathroom was nice and staff kept it clean.

Farmhouse Lodge provided a very basic, no-frills room with private bath. Room was clean, good location near Vik. One small bath towel per person was provided for our two night stay, no hand towels or face cloth. No housekeeping, no in-room coffee for early risers. Did not purchase breakfast. Property has a strict 4 pm check in policy, do not show up at 3:30 and expect your room or friendly conversation.

Our room was with shared bathroom and both were clean. The building itself is clean and well maintained. The only flaw is the shared kitchen it was dirty, microwave was very dirty and all surfaces too. We had very easy self check in, and located our room quickly.

Happy with everything but the bathroom. Beds were comfortable. Facilities were clean. Location worked well. Bathroom for the 4 person room was incredibly small. Tiny shower area with no curtain or barrier resulted in everything getting wet . No squeegee to try to somewhat clean up the water.

Check in was super easy, and the directions given to guide us to reception & to the guesthouse were very helpful to have. A spacious room with a little seating area and a large bathroom. There is no fridge in the room itself, but there is a large shared kitchen in the building that you can put your things in and hang out with some other guests who are travelling the country. We had a comfortable stay here!

We stayed at Farmhouse Lodge’s Chicken house for 2 days before Christmas and absolutely loved it. The Chicken house has everything- fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and bathroom. The location is wonderful since you can go and see several waterfalls and black sands beaches near by. Highly recommend to anyone who likes to explore that area of Iceland.

The Farmhouse Lodge is a group of various buildings that allow people with different travel ideas to put those ideas into action. For instance, people were sleeping in their own tents on the property, people were sleeping in the tent-like places that are permanently on the property, people were sleeping in a hostel of sorts, and we had a private, one bedroom little house. You must keep in mind that this place is an old farm, so the place is old and not fancy. However, we enjoyed the space, the views, and the convenience to three different tours we took. The reason it lost a star is because we had no way to block the sunlight when we were trying to sleep. When Iceland has 20 hours of sun, guests still need to sleep…likely more than four hours. We stuffed pillows into the windows which almost worked. Stay here if you want a convenient location near the south shore!
