"Right, what really makes a place is how they react to things being a bit off. Firstly thumbs up for the room having a proper iron and full size ironing board, but some one ahead of me had made the iron rather manky, you know too hot for the fabric, or not having enough water in to steam iron properly. The hotel did not have any iron cleaner, but initially gave me a clean pillow case to put between the iron and my clothes, ( a good tip if you have linen iron cotton pillowcases), and then within 5 minutes were at the door with a brand new replacement iron. Top marks, remember this is an old building so it creaks a bit and the plumbing occasionally wheeze, but the showers are good, the rooms clean and the bed was comfy.
