"I arrived about 11.00 at night and the doors were locked and no one responded to the intercom. I couldn't book in and ended up having to sleep in the car"

The staff were very helpful from start to finish and had no problems with us changing rooms so we could have a bath in the room . 1st night was really quite and we slept well. 2nd night was very noisy . We had people being loud and slaming car doors . Then around 3am people talking loud and running baths . The only real issue with the room was we had a lot of ladybirds getting in . One thing I did find strange was we couldn't not get a meal in the hotel as they had not cook thursday or friday night so we had to get deliveries "

"Absolutely Lovely staff … friendly and welcoming. They couldn’t do enough for us Sadly this does not take away from the tired rooms. We had booked a suite which was better when we viewed it but due to a significant leg injury I could not get up and down the stairs. … So we asked and were moved to a basic room on the ground floor (We didn’t ask for refund on room and wasn’t offered one) so paid over the top for our 3 nights. Bed was comfy and tea and coffee facilities good but room was dingy, dark, smelt a bit fusty and in desperate need of a lick of paint and updating. Food was good quality pub food but not better than that. Breakfast was good too. All in all we had a restful stay as planned but surroundings were sadly worse than home so wouldn’t return just for those reasons. "

"Overall, always a pleasant stay. This time, kitchen roll was missing, and it would be good to have more than one washing tablet for the dishwasher, as well as some extra coffee pods. thanks"
