Staff is very welcoming and gracious. The lodge is very appealing, includes a playground for kids to burn off energy and the lake front is a little piece of heaven. Morning coffee is very good. I appreciate their hospitality!

It was a last minute booking because we were stranded from the spring snow storm in Big Bear. The location was perfect overlooking the lake. The room was clean and beds are firm and comfortable.The receptionist was accomodatiing. Well recommended if looking for a stay in Big Bear.

There was coffee at all times. The young lady at the front was very kind enough to walk into my room to help me set up WiFi to my laptop. Very friendly and helpful. I would definitely would be going back in summer.

The cleaning staff did not come in daily to replace the towels, sheets, or clean the floor. It was snowy during the stays we were there and there was not a place to put your dirty shoes without the dirt and water leaking on to the floor. The breakfast included was a just continental with a small Danish, two cereals, and coffee. Since the staff did not get in until 8 am there was not coffee ready until about 8:20 most days. However, the room heater worked EXCELLENT. Actually, I blame expedia because when I was looking at various, this was not the site I wanted and ended up paying a non refundable fee to a less than desirable site.

The night staff very rude, towels dirty and she didn’t wanted to change them. I ask and she didn’t even try to be polite. She actually send the boyfriend ( that didn’t work in the hotel) to give me the answer of my request Note: other staff wonderful people

The bedroom was not soundproof at all, we were actually woken up by the next bedroom's alarm. Also, in the morning we wanted to have free breakfast (one of the reasons we booked this hotel), and the main office was closed after 8 am. We had to head to the ski resort and have breakfast somewhere else.

I enjoyed my stay here at the lakefront lodge. Many close activities and dining options all walkable distance. The room was exactly what we expected from the ads and very spacious. There were a couple of things I didn’t like. There were ants crawling around the room and bed, and the shower took over 20 minutes to heat up. Other than that it was a really great stay and I would definitely recommend.

Very substandard room with poor housekeeping, roll away bed was not usable, front office closes at 11:30 pm and one poor guy arrived at midnight and he was not able to check in, he had to go find a room somewhere else

No Continental breakfast as of 8:20am The room only had an electric looking heater that put out very minimal heat. The room was cold, they brought a small space heater, that took hours to warm the room. I don’t recommend

We arrived at 3:30pm when our check in time was and the room was not ready. They switched us to a different room that was almost done being cleaned and would only take 10 mins to be finished. It wasn’t until around 4:30 that our room was available. I also paid for the balcony room and didn’t even end up getting a balcony due to the switch. Not a terrible room, just upset that there was no balcony and had to wait so long for the room.

The property was quiet, however, the unit I stayed in didn’t make me want to come back. The room was half clean, the kitchen had an old sponge, no dish soap, and dirty dishes in the cabinet. The bathroom only had one wash cloth which was stained and I wasn’t sure if it was safe to use or not. I asked for more towels and was informed that they were washing towels now and would bring us some when they were done. Finally when they did bring the towels, there still were no wash cloths. I called to let them know there were none in the towels they brought up and was told that they didn’t have any wash cloths. What was even worse were the beds. Absolutely uncomfortable, it felt like we were sleeping on a hard box. We booked two nights, I was ready to go home after the first night. I did like the fire place and the balcony and the convenience of being able to cook and not have to go out for every meal and it was a little spacious. The WiFi didn’t work and I called a few times trying to get help, the guy at the front wasn’t very helpful. I give this lodge a 3/10 or 2/5…however you prefer to look at it.
