Very cute Inn filled with character. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast food was delicious. We also enjoyed the room we stayed in, cozy and homey, but very spacious. I was recommended this place by a friend and would recommend to anyone that enjoys a small town inn!

Brilliant
Brilliant room, faced on to main road but sound insulated. Good cleanliness. Decent beer. Fantastic evening meals. Large breakfast. What’s not to like.

Lovely, wonderful countryside hotel. Wonderful room, bar and restaurant proper old and wonderful food and great service. Best hotel I stayed in for a long while. Highly recommended!

The Hoops is an Oldie World building with wonky walls and floors, which adds to the charm rather than detracting from it. The rooms and bathrooms are large and very comfortable. Absolutely loved it, will be staying there again.

A delight in Devon!!!
A great 13th Century property, welcoming staff very much appreciated after a 7 hour drive, lovely old dining room, lovely food, great walk out through farmlands to the rear of the Hotel down to the beach, a little strange for an Australian to be greeted by so many dogs in the Bar, but they added to the ambience!!

We stayed for 3 night for a anniversary treat, the staff were just amazing always smiling and nothing too much trouble, we stayed in room 4 so spacious and clean, would definitely recommend this hotel, also the food was incredible breakfast and dinner absolutely 5* Thank you for a wonderful stay 21st / 24th July.

The Hoops is an affordable, comfortable pleasant hotel. The room was very good and breakfast fine. Evening food in the restaurant lets the establishment down. Move away from bought in frozen produce and this place would be on to a winner.

The room was very acceptable with a lovely new shower room en suite complete with gowns. I expected to eat in the 'proper' dining room in view of the price of the food:instead it was a 'pub' atmosphere etc. The food itself? First course good.Main course poor. It was oily and the broccoli such as it was was burnt. .....not exactly a special meal for a birthday!!
