「Room was nice. Staff was excellent. It was the first room from the reception desk making it louder than normal and the doors were very very loud when clasping shut. Every time our “neighbors” went in or out, we were awakened. Breakfast was hearty but no pastries were available.」

「I found a bed bug in my bed on the last day of my trip. The hotel staff told me to contact Expedia to receive a refund. I asked to get written conformation this happened to me and all they gave me was $30 free play coins. When I call Expedia, they gave me $75 credit with them. Now Expedia claims they aren't able to contact the hotel, and the hotel claims they haven't heard from Expedia. Honestly, I hate complaining and I didn't know what to do. The housekeeper took the dead bug, and the lobby...

「I will start with the positive. We got massages and the spa was nice. The massages were good. The steakhouse was wonderful and the manager there, the waitress and the staff throughout Oglebay were really good. Now for the not so good: We were there for our 40th anniversary, which they had in their system, but we were given a room in one of the lodge wings that only had a view of the wall belonging to the next building of rooms. 「The hotel was clean in and out, and the area is clean and safe. Came here for a tournament, which they seem to host a lot of families for these tournaments as well as traveling lineman, oil, and construction workers. Inwas surprised how clean the rooms were with the full kitchen. No complaints. Outside looked like a 3 star hotel and the rooms has great mattresses. I out a 3 for amenities, but i dont know if they have any, but to for an overnight stay, it was great.」

「Heating in one of the room wasn’t working therefore we have to move to another room after spending one night. Additionally, there was much requirement of cleanliness and odd smell. Overall, it fits the budget for two nights. 」

「Unfortunately, the age of this motel is showing to the extreme. Bed was lumpy at best, no place to put a suitcase except the floor or bed, no Kleenex. I feel badly for owners that do not have the funds to improve or update their property.」
