「Booked for an overnight stay in Ipswich for early morning appointment. The hotel was central close to local bus terminus and close to a wide range of restaurants and bars. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful the rooms clean, quiet, and with good facilities. A little small but fantastic value for money and ideal for an overnight stay」

「Need to walk up staircase to rooms on first or second floor, clean and tidy, well maintained. Double glazed window keeps out noise. Good value for price.」

「Lovely little place to stay like home from home 」

「There was no bedside light (despite there being two bedside tables) and no rubbish bin in the room. The curtains did not close properly. One window had a crack in it and there is no double glazing so the road outside was noisy. It was very hot, but we kept the windows closed to try to reduce the noise (no aircon).The staff were very helpful however (having moved us from a different room as the bathroom light wasn't working in that one).」

「A great stay. Away from it all authentic in the middle-of-nowhere stay, with only 6 miles from Woodbridge. Len excelled with making us feel absolutely at home. A wonderful host. Fascinating story about the farm buildings, his beekeeping, and life in general. A wonderful host. Breakfast was excellent, Barbara doing a great job in the kitchen. We found a great route from the local village by the river into Woodbridge. If you want to get away from it all this place has it. 」

「We were so impressed with the standard of service we received - thanks to all the staff! We requested an early check in so that we could get changed in time for going to a wedding nearby, and nothing was a problem. The welcome we received each time we returned to the hotel was warm and genuine. The breakfast was delicious too. Again, it was no problem at all when we requested some vegan items. Nothing and no one could have been better!」

「Very comfortable room & bed. Superb meals in the elegant Carrier drawing room. Slight downside in that we were kept waiting to sign in. Disappointing that mostly the flowers on display were artificial, despite having a cut-flower garden outside.」

「We stayed for just one night and had no complaints whatsoever. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly, the food was delicious, and we left feeling well-rested. Bed was comfortable. I would recommend it. Although we had a shared bathroom, it was spotless, well-maintained, and perfectly functional—so it didn’t affect our stay at all. Lovely atmosphere, fantastic beer garden, overall great. 」
