Good hotel near BER

This is a clean. inexpensive hotel very near Berlin Brandenburg airport (BER). We didn't have time to really experience the hotel, because we merely slept there before our flight. However, the restaurant was helpful, and although the hotel shuttle couldn't take us at 4:15 AM, the desk was kind enough to call us a cab.

Even though I had made prior arrangements, I was disappointed that the hotel’s shuttle service did not pick me up from the airport. To make matters worse, the service was not available to return me to the airport upon checkout.

ice clean neat shaking

nice clean and neat. Short walk to airport Good sound insulation, being located between rail and road and airport, but the bed was actually shaking when a couple of really heavy trains passed by late at evening.

It is 15 mins walk from the airport. Free drop-off in airport or train station. Nice room. Reception staff were good and helpful. Bigger TV would be good for 4 star hotel

Convienent to S BAHN and Airport

Good staff on arrival informed us of the Train services and routes. Also able to drop our bag off to go into Berlin as we landed at 9.30am.

Das Hotel liegt eingebettet an einer stark befahrenen Straße zur einen Seite, zur anderen Seite erheblicher Zugverkehr. Leider bei den Zimmern keine Klimaanlage, so mussten wir bei geschlossenen Fenstern schlafen. Es war sehr warm. Mit offenen Fenster sehr laut. Zweiter Punkt ist das Frühstückbufett. Eines 4Sterne Hotel unwürdig. Lieblos aufgebaut, Joghurt stand ungekühlt auf dem Tresen. Warme Speisen, wie Rührei, Würstchen etc. waren trotz Warmhalteplatte kalt. Die männliche Servicekraft schien überfordert. Setzte die Leute gegen ihren Willen um. Das ehemals weiße Hemd war schmuddelig, trug er ja offensichtlich die 3 Trage unseres Aufenthaltes.

First Visit a Great big Plus!

This Hotel was chosen as we were meeting family and I must say what a pleasing hotel this was. Although there were busy roads surrounding the hotel there was a lovely garden area where we sat and had our evening meal with a small lake and ducks, flamingos and chickens. It was a lovely atmosphere and locals were also eating there too. I would definitely stay here again as their airport shuttle was an added bonus as we were picked up and dropped off at no extra charge. Our room was very comfortable and the whole experience was very relaxing.

Ideal location, near airport with free transfers.

Hotel was 5 min walk from S-Bahn railway terminus where S9 route takes you directly into city centre. Hotel sells a day ticket for 7 euros 70 cents that only has to be validated before embarking on 35 minute train journey. Reception staff where very helpful, Italian restaurant at hotel very good. Ideal base for Berlin Marathon. Excellent!!

Lovely 2-night stay in this airport hotel

This is a lovely hotel. My room was clean and tastefully decorated. Nice food and drink items in the room's minibar. I wish my room had an A/C because it was warm. I opened the windows to let in the cool air, but then the noise from the nearby train kept me awake. Also, the room's wifi didn't stay connected. I was repeatedly prompted to reconnect to it on my phone and laptop. The breakfast next door was not included in the price of the room, but was worth the extra expense.

Nice hotel close to the city centre

A pretty new hotel located just outside the inner ring road, its less than 10 minutes to walk into the city centre. We stayed for 5 nights during the August heatwave and found a downside in the hotel didn't have Air con in the room. The hotel provided a pretty quiet and efficient fan when we asked, so it didn't turn out to be as much a problem as we feared it might. We had breakfast at the hotel on 2 mornings, €12.40 each, as it was a pretty extensive buffet we thought it was good value compared with the breakfasts we had in city centre cafe's on the other days. We'll definitely be using this hotel again when we visit our family there in the future.

Retrospectively, 4-star hotel must mean different standards in North America compared to Europe. Although the location was convenient for getting to the airport the next morning, the stay was overall disappointing compared to what we were expecting. Most of all, the Wi-Fi was terrible - difficult to connect to and would almost immediately drop. This posed a lot of frustration given that we were trying to check-in and sort out the final details of our departure that next day. The airport shuttle only goes every 30 minutes, not when requested, which isn't the biggest deal but did mean that we had to get up and arrive at the airport 15 minutes earlier than we wanted to, which felt like a lot in the early hours of the morning. It did have a fan tho, which helped the room stay a comfortable temperature. This was extra needed because there were lots of guests outside at the bar/restaurant smoking the smoke kept drifting in through our window which meant we had to keep it shut.
