「The hosts were great. The coffee was waiting for me at 6 am. The breakfast was delicious! I called it biscuits and gravy but it was more like french tost lol we had some great laughs. I will plan another trip here in the future. Downtown Galena is really neat. We checked out some hiking trails and had a blast. 」

「We really enjoyed the a/c - heating unit with our own personal thermostat on the wall! We also appreciated the easy-to-use television selection menu. I have not received my receipt, but I'm sure it will be coming tomorrow. (I just checked out today, 9/19/25).」

「As I had found that this property was once owned by my 3X great granduncles I was fascinated by the history and walked in their footsteps. As I descended the original, narrow stairs with the low hand rails I imagined the original women in their high button shoes and hoop skirts more gracefully than me maneuvering them daily. It was a pleasant step back in time with it's antique atmosphere and original structure. It was my 48th wedding anniversary and staying at a family home made it even more...
