"Stayed here for 3 nights with my partner while visiting friends and family during a busy weekend, and overall we had a great experience. The hotel really stands out for its cleanliness and comfort. Our suite was spacious, relaxing, and well-kept, which made it easy to unwind after long days. We also loved the Penn State aesthetic—it gave the stay a unique charm—and the coffee was a nice bonus. The location is a huge plus as well, with easy walking distance to both campus and downtown. The only downside was the housekeeping service. We called multiple times requesting service, but no one ever came, which was a bit frustrating and the main reason for the 4-star rating instead of 5. That said, we would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located place to stay in the area."

"The property is absolutely beautiful. All of the staff is awesome on the exception of maintenance. Every time we wanted to use the pool during our stay we had to go to the front desk and have maintenance remove whatever device they had in there. Whether it was during the day or in the early evening that was a hassle. Not to mention a maintenance man had an attitude while removing it. Then on our last day there while walking to our car after checking out we almost fell due to the sheet of ice parking lot and the sheet of ice sidewalk. That is absolutely unacceptable. Salt should have been put down last evening. There was plenty advance notice that there was going to be a wintry mix last night. Salt should have been put down to prevent us almost slipping and falling on a sheet of ice !!!;;"

"Check-in was very delayed due to limited cleaning staff. The front desk staff was overwhelmed and apologetic. The hotel was at capacity due to multiple sports tournaments in the State College area. The room set up was convenient for a family and the hotel itself is new. Throughout the hotel there were overflowing trash cans, lobby bathrooms were clogged and never had the trash removed or paper towels replaced. It was clear that the hotel was understaffed in terms of maintenance and upkeep. During our stay, we encountered a very rude front desk attendant. She refused to offer us a late check-out (even though the check-in was two hours delayed). She came out to yell at our group while we were eating in the lobby and continued to be rude to other customers. The following morning, the new front desk attendant offered us a late check-out. Our daughter and her entire team used the pool. Upon our arrival home, our daughter had red sores on her feet and her eyes were swollen. Within the following 24 hours, her entire body was covered in the red bumps. The entire team that stayed in the hotel and used the pool was covered in the rash. They were diagnosed with folliculitis (staph) from the pool. This hotel has a great location and the room set up is family friendly. Unfortunately, they need more staff and better upkeep. "

"The ac unit was apparently broken in the room I initially booked but it was also broken in my room. It was extremely hot. The shower was broken you could take an extremely hot or cold but not medium temp shower and water would spew everywhere. "
