Great place for a quick trip to State College. Room is adequate, large bathroom, but bedroom area might be small for larger folks. Bed size is a double, not a queen, which wasn't a problem for our stay since we were 2 and didn't share. Bed was comfortable and pillows amazing. Towels were soft. Very clean. Easy parking. Fridge, coffee maker and microwave are provided. TV has Direct TV.

My husband and I needed a place to stay last minute and the Northland Motel worked perfectly for us. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Checking in was easy. The lady working was very welcoming. There was also no noise coming from the bowling alley or restaurant. Andes candies and bottled water was a nice touch. The temperature was comfortable in the room as it was very cold and blustery. We will stay again in the future.

We had a wonderful stay this past PSU parents' weekend at the Northland Motel. The motel is a hidden gem. It has clean, updated rooms and very comfortable beds. Most importantly, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful (Michael and Pam!) and really made the stay so nice. The motel is attached to a very fun bowling alley, and we had some fun family time there as well. We will definitely stay again.

The staff was so friendly. The restaurant inside was beyond amazing food great staff. The bowling ally was awesome. The best part was you hear nothing in your room. Had a great stay will come back again!!

She’s not a looker from the outside but the rooms are clean, very comfy and at a very affordable price. Im a picky traveler and gave this place a shot and now I would definitely come back. The staff is so helpful and friendly and they make the whole experience that much better. We paid at least half of what others paid for parents weekend. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

Rarely will you ever find a cleaner & upgraded motel than this one. Lady at check in was super nice. You could tell the room was very clean. Would definitely do again. Excellent value. Got free water and chocolate mints. Free shoe rental with bowling alley next door yet you can’t hear any noise. Gem 💎 of a motel. Felt safe.

Stop looking elsewhere! This motel is a hidden gem! Clean, modern, comfy beds, hairdryer, water and chocolates await you at check in. Nice size fridge and microwave in each room.As a life long ( now retired) business traveler Id take this motel over the big box hotels! Affordable near Penn State. It's attached to a bowling alley which is additional entertainment. It's obvious the owner has taken GREAT pride in their establishment! So look no further.
