"The Culvert is an atypical hotel accommodation. The cylinder shaped cocoons are clean and fun to stay in and the staff is very friendly. This is an open air concept with everything, except you room, being outside. Premises are located on a hill which means a lot of stairs - and they are no longer in perfect condition. "Evening person at reception was abrupt & not welcoming on three occasions. Not suited to her role. Carpet stains in the corridors of level 8 and level 5 unacceptable. Carpet stains in the two rooms we were in are unacceptable. The bathroom shower floor in the two rooms we stayed in is slippery and dangerous. "

"Good location and very friendly staff. The room itself is very clean and tidy. Whereas toilet is ok, though could be slightly cleaner. Maybe staff was in a rush to clean it."
