if you're looking to get the whole Chongqing experience, do not stay here! The location of this hotel is terrible and it's very far away from all tourist spots. Typically it take us 20 to 30 minutes to call a car from where we are back to the hotel at night. Another thing is I feel like the hotel staff is incredibly unprofessional. They do not wear uniforms and do not greet you at all. Also, the rooms are not soundproof. One night at 2am we literally got woken up by people next-door yelling because the rooms were not soundproof. I would say that the only good thing about the hotel is that it's clean and there's a self service laundry on the eighth floor. But other than that, the location is not great and you can get a hotel for the same price but near jiefangbei.

This is an excellent hotel in a fantastic location with great access to local transport and tourist sites. The hotel itself is located on floors 26-28 of the Pride of Times building; views from the rooms are incredible, and the hotel's lobby balcony provides a pleasant area to look out over the lights of modern Chongqing in the evening. This is also an option for the Saturday drone shows. The staff were extremely helpful throughout our stay. They provided recommendations for local food, as well as extra water and a limited daily clothes washing service. They were very accommodating of a late checkout for our evening flight schedule. For those coming via the metro: get off at Chaotianmen on Line 1, take exit 4 up a short escalator, then go up the long escalator on your left. The hotel's building will be right in front of you. Easy access through the same subway to everything around Chongqing's old city. The hotel itself doesn't offer breakfast, but there's a large food hall just next to Chaotianmen station - head back down via Exit 4 and it's impossible to miss. The one thing to be aware of is that the elevators up to the hotel floors are a bit worn and can be very crowded. I recommend taking the express routes stopping on even or odd floors for most of your stay - it will be much faster than the central shaft which stops on each level. The main lobby is on floor 27, and all rooms can be accessed via a separate dedicated elevator that services the hotel from floor 27.

This is a great hotel with a beautiful view

Absolutely loved our stay here! The location is fantastic—just a short walk from Hongyadong, with an incredible view of the river and the city lights. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, and the floor-to-ceiling windows made the view even more amazing. One of the highlights was getting to see the drone show from the room. Watching the lights over the river at night was such a memorable experience. The location also made it really easy to explore Chongqing, with plenty of restaurants, attractions, and transportation options nearby. The host was friendly and helpful, and communication was easy throughout our stay. If you're visiting Chongqing for the first time, especially if you want to experience Hongyadong and the city at night, I would definitely recommend staying here. Great location, beautiful views, and a very comfortable room!

The front desk staff did an amazing job, they helped us with anything we needed and even went out of their way to help us find the hospital when we needed to go for an emergency. Would stay again 100%!
