"OK Lodge is just a name; what is is is a (nicely) extended and converted terraced house opposite a park; so now a few studio flats, with some common areas. Modern and clean but a couple of issues - like oven not even wired in; no table to eat off; and also whilst we booked for 3 adults and was confirmed; they called to say max was 2 adults & a child and would not refund the extra £50 for the 3rd adult (who couldn't now come of course) and I had to go through Expedia to get resolved. "Just a lovely stay in a wonderful relaxing place. Staff were helpful, friendly and efficient beyond expectations. Our room was beautifully appointed. I'd recommend booking a ground-floor room if possible; there is no elevator and the staircases are narrow and twisty, not to the point of being dangerous or anything, but for a couple in our 70s, we needed some help getting our luggage up and down stairs. The included breakfast is several steps above the waffle-machine-and-day-old-eggs offered so often in hotels of this caliber - many choices and fresh-cooked items served in an elegant setting. The dinner menu in the restaurant is limited to five or six choices but everything we ordered was well-prepared and nicely presented. The grounds are strollable and well kept. Don't plan on a lot of night life or excitement in Sittingbourne; Canterbury is a 25 minute drive away, though, and well worth the time. I recommend Hempstead House to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in a beautiful setting with first-rate service."

"Gabriella and Dominic were wonderful hosts. This is a small B&B and is being updated and improved. You can feel their love for the house. Bedroom and en-suite were clean and comfortable. Everything you needed was well planned out. The breakfast was devine. A very pleasant eating area. The driveway is a little tight but achievable. Thank you both for a very pleasant stay and if in sittingbourne again we will definitely stay here."

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Honey Pod. Communication and instructions before arrival were wonderful and made everything so easy. The space itself is compact but has everything you need — a cozy kitchen/lounge area, comfortable bedroom, and clean bathroom. The wood burner hot tub in the garden was such a treat, perfect for relaxing under the stars. It’s beautifully secluded and feels like you’re tucked away in the middle of nowhere — peaceful, quiet, and magical. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and escape! "
