"As other reviews have said, the staff was incredibly kind and helpful with information, ordering transportation and other inquiries we had. The room was great: light and clean off a courtyard at the back of the building so it stayed cooler.
The kitchenette was very helpful-we could store and prepare some of our own foods. We would definitely stay here again."
"Location was great and the room was spacious. It worked well for my family of 4. Keep in mind this place does not have air conditioning. We opened the windows to get a cross breeze and turned on the fans which made it easier to sleep. My son loved the small pool at the end of the day and the daily breakfast was nice."
"Had a nice room with a comfortable bed and a bathroom with some space, which was not our experience elsewhere in France. The downtown area with shops and restaurants was just a short walk from the hotel. In the evening, after dinner in town, my wife and I would sit at a table outside our room, relax and enjoy the cooler temperature. The hotel had a self-serve breakfast buffet that had plenty of cold cuts, fruit, granola, crepes and croissants, but very few hot items. We would warmly recommend the place to anyone looking for a place to stay while visiting Normandy."
"This was our second stay at the Churchill, and it was just as good as the first. Fabulous historic building, bedroom clean and cool (air conditioning!), friendly staff and a good breakfast."
"We stayed at this Hotel in June while visiting all the WW2 sites and doing 3 tours .
The hotel was fabulous could not fault , near to everything , the welcome we received from Etienne was amazing
from checking in to vacating and helping out with train suggestions and printing out tickets was incredible, the personal touches from this gentleman was truly a hugh asset for the Hotel , and a true professional , polite & friendly . The cleaning team were amazing and our room was cleaned daily . Breakfast was plentiful and fresh . Thank you for a fabulous stay and we would have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel to future guests and if back in Normandy
would most definitely book again ."
"The location and property itself were wonderful. Our room was spacious and with the property set back from the street, it was a quiet stay. The decor is charming, and staff were friendly and helpful. Would absolutely stay here again in the future."
"Staff were so welcoming. Room was clean, bathroom was recently updated and had a/c which was so nice with abnormally higher temps. The hotel fit the look of the city and was yet modern in the room. They offered laundering service which was so helpful. Hotel was very walkable to the numerous cafe’s. Great place would recommend to book here."
"Beautiful setting in a lovely hotel. The staff is very helpful and speaks excellent English. The breakfast buffet was delish and offered a wide variety of foods. We took a Tuk Tuk tour around Bayeux that was very informative and a great way to get an overview of this beautiful, medieval city!"
