"Staff very friendly and helpful. Slight mistake when checking in but this was resolved with no fuss. Hotel is excellently located and wonderful big rooms with plenty of character and no noise at all overnight."

"Well located hotel. Robert on reception was very helpful & knowledgeable. However, there were a number of things that annoyed me. No shower cap, no face washer, no rubbish bags in the bins. Different person's name on the welcome on the tv which couldn’t be changed. The bedding was uncomfortable, didn’t seem to fit very well. In the bar I tried to put my meal on my room but couldn’t because I hadn’t been asked for a credit card when I checked in. Was able to pay by cash even though on Expedia it said the hotel was cashless! "

"The hotel in situated in a lovely location and we found it to be very quite we suited us nicely. We had breakfast and evening meal and we could not fault it. We normally stay in the travel lodge when we go up to Bishop Auckland but we will use the Park Head in future."

"The Hotel is a treat for the eyes and a great place to relax in the many rooms. A beautiful bar and a great breakfast kept us satisfied after a day of exploring the area. A super comfortable bed made our stay even better. The golf course looks beautiful and the hiking trails are interesting. Easy to park your car. The staff were helpful and very polite. "The staff were very friendly, welcoming and efficient. The food was very good. The hotel is very comfortable, well furnished and very quiet being a little remote. No outside noise and very little noise inside the hotel even with coach parties staying over. Looking forward to my next visit."
