「The bathroom was quite small and felt cramped, which made it uncomfortable to use. The breakfast offering was also disappointing, with very limited variety. On top of that, there were noticeable plumbing noises from other rooms, especially when toilets were flushed, which affected the overall comfort of the stay.」

Ideal location for Fairbourne and surrounding area - you need to go to Dolgellau, Barmouth and try the Precipice Walk and Creggannan Lakes which were lovely walks with stunning views. Nice to get some milk and Welsh cakes which were lovely. Cottage was clean and comfortable, only minor negative was limited information about what to do at check out time, local contacts etc. and there wasn’t much in terms of cleaning equipment apart from a broom so couldn’t do...

「Lovely room with great bathroom. A bath and separate shower was a treat. Plenty of hot water and fluffy towels. WiFi was good and nice decor. Staff were pleasant and was lovely to be able to converse Welsh. Location was handy for lots of places to visit. Defo hope to be back」

「The actual hotel was lovely particularly if you are looking for a certain vibe. It was a well renovated country house that was a delight to stay at. The main issue is that the location is not near anything and feels a bit remote. The grounds could use a little attention as well, but this is of lesser importance. The family who operate the hotel are invested and are a delight」

「Generally a good experience, but with reservations. A hotel of character, much nicer than bland city tower blocks, but ready for overall refurbishment. Very un-green: no double glazing anywhere I saw. Room cleaning skimpy - glass shelf over sink always left unwiped, tea provisions not topped up adequately, bath not wiped round. The hotel is very near to Harlech Castle, just 3 minute walking distance, but it also means that the hotel situates on the hill as well...
