What a thoroughly lovely hotel. All areas immaculate, staff super helpful, calm,friendly and efficient. Likely stems from excellent leadership by the family owners. 3 brothers all hands on, run a fantastic place. On my husbands birthday during our week they left nice bottle prosecco, card and 2 glasses. On leaving we were given large bottle of the hotel olive oil. Location is perfect for exploring east side Lake Garda being halfway north and south. Bus stop on road just steps away and lovely easy flat walk 10 mins into Bardolino. Excellent restaurants of all price levels within walking distance. This place is a keeper.!!!

Beautiful Hotel in a Beautiful Town
We had an amazing stay at Hotel Gardenia. The room was spacious, super clean with a large balcony overlooking the lake. Marta was outstanding from the moment we checked in until the time we have to leave. Highly recommend this place. The owners clearly take a lot of pride in their business.

Amazing experience from start to finish.
I have stayed in some lovely hotels but this is the only hotel i have given a review. The hotel is beutiful, can't believe only has a 3 star rating. The location is very good only a short walk to the lake and very well placed to see other parts of lake garda. Also the bus stop is right outside the hotel, for reaching the train station and other towns around the lake. The best thing about our experience were the hotel staff who were very friendly and helpful, we were even given a leaving present after checking out. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a memorable stay in lake garda.

Lovely hotel
The hotel was excellent . Very clean, and the rooms had everything you need. The two pools were a wonderful bonus, as was the bar. The staff cannot do enough for you, and all speak English. The location of the hotel is good, with a pleasant walk into town along the lakeside. Bus stops are nearby too.

The staff and service provided by the hotel was superb. We were made to feel so welcome and nothing was any trouble when requested. The breakfast had a large selection and was replenished frequently and the rooms were kept extremely cleanly. We enjoyed the stay so much that we are already planning to return again.

The moment you walk into the hotel it's relaxing, the reception staff are friendly, helpful and courteous. After being shown to our room we were given a complimentary welcome drink. Then the receptionist spent time with us going over places to visit and best form of transport. When you came in the evening they were interested In your day. Every area of the hotel is so very clean. I'm afraid there are negatives to the hotel. When we were shown our room my heart plummeted, although it was very clean it was like walking into a 80's time warp. When you are spending that amount of money on a premium room you expect a lot better even if you weren't paying a lot standards should still be high. The decor is so outdated, the beds and pillows hard. Also if you want wifi in your room you have to pay extra. If the rooms could be updated you really would have a gem. in your day.

Hotel Gardenia - Bardolino
Hotel is about 15 minutes walk from main resort but the walk is a lovely walk along the lake path and perfectly flat. Hotel staff are as friendly and informative as any I have ever came across. Nichola who runs the Hotel cannot do enough for you and this is the same for all his staff. There are apartments outside of the main Hotel which are spacious and overlooking lake with access to two pools. The main Hotel rooms are also a good size and again a lake view room is best

Great hotel with first class staff
We really loved this hotel. the staff are all excellent and genuinely friendly and helpfull. The breakfast was excellent, and eggs were cooked to order for you. There is a choice of two pools, the larger of which is a little more secluded. The room (we had one without a balcony) was very well maintained, and had probably the best air conditioning of anywhere we have stayed. The mini bar was restocked every day and had a good selection of drinks at very reasonable prices. We had driven there during a tour of the Italian lakes and southern France, and this hotel stood out as the the best hotel of the tour. (We stayed there for five nights). The walk into the beautiful town in the evenings is a fifteen minute stroll along the promenade. It was always possible to park the car next to the hotel.

A great place to stay
Great hotel very quiet, about 15 minute walk along the lake to Bardolino. Rooms very clean and air conditioning very effective. Breakfast was very good plenty of choice. Staff all very friendly and extremely helpful especially when arranging buses or boats to get to other towns around the lake. It is not the cheapest hotel around but it certainly offers good excellent value for money if you want something away from the hustle and bustle ( and noise) of Bardolino town itself. All in all a great place to stay - would definitely recommend it.

Great service right from arrival with really friendly staff who always greeted us with a smile. Close to the lake and 10 minutes into town and also just a few miles from Lazise which is the nicest town up this side of Garda

Best hotel on Lake Garda
We loved this hotel. The staff could not be more helpful or kinder - that is actually from the owners to dear Grace that always has a smile on her face. My room overlooked the lake and was exceptionally clean. There is a wonderful breakfast buffet in the morning. The hotel is well kept and well maintained. They have bikes for the guests and it's within walking distance to the lake and restaurants. We were doing a day trip to Venice and the owner handed me a travel book if Venice to borrow for the day. We have never stayed at a hotel that was more accommodating.

Very friendly and helpful staff made our stay
Hotel gave us a warm welcome and offered us an upgrade to a room wigh balcony and lake view! Great base to explore the lake by boat and never short of something new to do. We visited different places every day as wd had not visited the region before but wecojld have beenjusg as comfortable relaxing by the pool. Late afternoon on balcony with a glass of wine , heaven! There are a few restaurants close by but for the best choice a 15 minute stroll along the lakeside prom gives a wide choice in bardolino.highly recommended!

cannot fault this hotel!
From the minute you walk into Hotel Gardenia, you feel relaxed and welcome. I have never known such friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is very well located for getting around the whole area, we got the bus to Verona, the train to Venice and the boat all around the lake to Riva and back. What we most enjoyed were the strolls around the lake itself. A lovely relaxing holiday.

The hotel is very comfortable and gtreat value. The staff are excellent and are never less than very friendly and helpful with as smile. Nice little bar and the welcome drink was very nice. The walk into town from the hotel is very pleasant and undemanding , taking around 15 minutes. In this day and age free wi fi would have been helpful but the cost was not too high. Definitely would recommend.

Great Hotel,Beautiful Surroundings.
This is a fantastic hotel to stay in and to explore Bardolino and the towns and villages of Lake Garda. The staff are very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. Each member of staff seemed to be Multi Lingual which was both helpful and impressive given the diverse number of nationalities staying in the hotel.

Good views of the Lake from the upper floors.
We stayed here for 4 nights in May 2014. The Hotel staff were excellent, very friendly and provided lots of useful information about the local area, transport etc. The lakeside path along the eastern shore of Lake Garda is lovely for an evening stroll. The local bus service is good and an easy way to explore the other Lake resorts as are the frequent ferries which provided stunning views of the shores and beyond.

My son & I stayed at the Gardenia for 4 nights, we just loved it. Everyone was very pleasant, friendly and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The Hotel was cleaned to a high standard, even as we left they were scrubbing the sun loungers, the pool was fairly small but very well maintained. Cannot wait to go back!!! Excellent.

A quiet retreat with friendly staff
Staff were brilliant, spent time explaining the area and offered advice to get the most out of our time at Lake Garda, nothing was too much trouble! Close enough to walk into town where food was nice and not too expensive. A good base to explore the lake! Loved it!!

AMAZING! Can't fault it!
Everything about this place was lovely. Staff were very warm and welcoming. When we arrived the gave us a welcome drink and sat down with maps of the local area and the whole of Lake Garda and gave us some ideas of what to do etc... We were also given restaurant recommendations in Bardolino, all of which we tried and they were all fantastic. The hotel has bikes that you can rent and this was great for exploring around Lake Garda. The hotel is located just outside Bardolino centre but is a pleasant 10 minute walk up the lake front to get there. There is a bus stop and a Lidl very close which was very convenient. The hotel was very clean and in excellent condition. The pool was lovely and the area around it was well kept. The staff all spoke excellent English. Overall the Hotel Gardenia is fantastic!

Exceptional Service
The standard of the team that runs the Gardenia is exceptional, whilst apperaing to be family run and homely it is very well organised and nothing is too much trouble. We had a seaview room with a balcony for most of our stay and I would recommend people upgrede if possible. As stated in previous reviews the mini bar is well stocked and very reasonble, service at breakfast and poolside excellent..Riccardo gave some recommendations for day trips which turned out to be very worthwhile and memorable. All in all perfect.

we were in the main hotel which is very charming.The hotel staff were very welcoming & friendly and the hotel room very clean & comfortable. we were given a glass of prosecco on arrival which was a nice touch. it was about 10 mins walk along lake to bardolino where you can take a boat trip to any of the other towns on the lake.Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Gardenia and Ville JUST CHARMING
This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in; this is not about the facilities this is about how we were made to feel. From the minute that we set foot in the hotel we were greeted with smiles and conversation. we had arrived early but the staff bent over backwards to get our room ready and we were given a complimentary drink and information about Bardolino: facilities the hotel could offer, how to get to Bardolino, a map of the surrounding area and restaurants we could get discount in because we were staying at the hotel. The room was one of their newer rooms which was modern, clean and and very comfortable. It was also kept clean daily. Booking through Hotels.com we didn't get breakfast as part of the price but for 9 Euros you could really fill your boots, setting you up for the day perfectly. The food was great, varied, and once again the staff couldn't do enough for you. The hotel has two pools and we didn't have any trouble finding a sunbed to enjoy the Italian sunshine. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk to Bardolino but what a walk, alongside the shores of Lake Garda, beautiful. You also have a Lidl about 2 minutes away should you want water, snacks or those essentials you forgot to pack. Next to the Lidl is an ATM which is handy as the ATMs in Bardolino always had a long queue, we found. All in all the Hotel Gardenia and Ville Charme made our stay perfect.

Amazing Place!!
I cannot recommend enough this fantastic hotel. Riccardo and his team are always on hand to help with advice on where to eat and what to see and also helpful guides and maps of the area. The hotel serves a great and varied breakfast and with two pools, hot tub and spa there is always the option of a relaxing rest day. Bardolino centre is a mere 10 minute stroll along the lakeside promenade and is a great place to explore the wider Garda area from, with lots of lovely restaurants and gelatos! We loved our stay and will definately be back!

Fabulous hotel, friendly staff, beautifully clean. Deserves to be 4/5 star on small hotels. It is just as the reviews on this site have described. Excellent. Do ask for a second mattress topper if find mattress a bit hard. Would recommend to all my friends.

Tolles Hotel mit sehr sehr nettem Personal. Schöne, sehr saubere und klimatisierte Zimmer, wunderbares Frühstück auf der Terrasse und netter kleiner Pool. Aufzug ist vorhanden und die kleine aber feine Theke/Bar im Eingangsbereich lädt sowohl zu einem Kaffee, als auch zu einem Veneziano oder einem gutem Glas Wein ein. Absolut empfehlenswertes Haus.

Hübsches zentral gelegenes Hotel. Freundlicher Service. Einziger Nachteil ist dass die Abgase der viel befahrenen Hauptstraße bis an den Pool zu bemerken sind.

Nettes, kleines Hotel mit perfektem Service !
Das Hotel besteht aus zwei Häusern (Hotel Gardenia & Villa Charme), deren Einrichtungen wechselseitig benutzt werden können. Es liegt zwischen Bardolino und Cisano. Fußläufig sind es nach Bardolino entlang der Uferpromenade ca. 10 Minuten. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und die Zimmer mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Das Frühstück ist einfach klasse, mit Kaffeespezialitäten und extra zubereiteten Eierspeisen. Was unbedingt erwähnt werden muss, ist die Freundlichkeit, sowohl des Personals, als auch der Hotelinhaber (3 Brüder). Wir haben so etwas noch in keinem anderen Haus vergleichbar erlebt. Insgesamt ist festzustellen, dass das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfohlen werden kann. Auch wir kommen gerne wieder.
