The Abner Hotel

"Thr Abner was a wonderful stay! The property is beautifully maintained and they surprised us with an upgraded room. The Verdict, the roof top bar was a great experience, we had some pre-dinner cocktails and hummus. The staff throughout the Abner, from the front desk to the breakfast room were attentive and pleasant. The breakfast included overnight oats, yogurt and granola, chia seed pudding, fresh fruit and a delicious zucchini frittata! The room was well appointed and emaculately clean. We will definitely visit again!"

"Overall, this was a good hotel, and I enjoyed my stay, but I did experience a few issues that future guests should be aware of. First, the air conditioning unit was quite loud. Whenever it was running, it made it difficult to hear the television, and I could not find a way to completely turn the heating/air conditioning system off. Second, I placed the "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door and later realized that housekeeping would not return unless I specifically requested room service. I didn't discover this until after the second day. It would have been helpful if this policy had been explained at check-in. Finally, access to the parking garage requires you to be a Hilton Honors member. If you are not a member, you will not be able to use the garage. Fortunately, Hilton Honors is free to join. Once I signed up, I was able to access the parking garage without any issues. It would have been helpful to know this in advance. Despite these issues, the hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and my overall stay was pleasant. I hope this review helps future guests know what to expect and saves them time by preventing a few unexpected surprises."

"The stay was good. But, it was only one night. If I were to want to stay a week. I would think twice about it. The even staff, basically locked himself in the office. Didn’t allow us to come in for check in. Made us use a little window for transaction. Like if he was scared of contact with customers. Your establishment is in a nice area. I’ve been living in Waterbury, CT since 1994. I know all the bad areas to avoid. That location is not a bad area. So, I really wasn’t happy of the introduction and not making the customer feel welcomed. So, because of that. I really wasn’t happy."
