"When you pull up to the buildings it looks quite dated. The interior though is very clean, staff in the 1884 Restaurant are really lovely. George couldn't do enough for us. The cutlery was spotless and food was enjoyable. Loved it. We also had the Lake view from our window"

"There are only 11 parking spaces at the hotel but there is a car park next to the pier so we had no issues. The close proximity to the pier is also great for a little walk with a cafe at the end. The check in was easy and our rooms were very clean and comfortable (although a little warm but it was during the heatwave). The beds were great with plenty of pillows and the rooms had complementary water and drinks."

"Easy and friendly check in. Clean and tidy room. I had a single room and the sink in the bathroom was the size of a shoe box. I am not a breakfast person but I do like coffee. When I asked whether it was possible for me to get morning coffee for my travel mug I was told there was coffee in my room. I had hoped for and was willing to pay for a decent filter coffee as opposed to a sachet of Nescafé. Had burger and fries for evening meal "with salad". Burger was top quality, some fries and a single lettuce leaf for £18. Bit pricey"
