You get what you pay for, really. Don’t expect too much from this place. Was decent at best.
Location: 15min walk from the nearest BTS. We took a GrabBike out to the BTS every day because it was a long walk. Roads are pretty narrow and small so Uber/Grab cars may take some time to arrive as it can get tight. Nice halal bistro right next door.
Room: spacious big room for a couple. Nice little balcony with a Muslim cemetery in view. Sunsets can be quite beautiful. Mosque nearby have their prayers pretty loudly at 5am - light sleepers take note.
Aircon worked well. There was no fan though. Bed was a huge king-sized bed that was quite uncomfortable - it was hard and felt weird. Blanket was pathetically thin, they rub against your feet (if you have dry heels) and can get annoying.
They provide little bottles of shower gel and shampoo, no toothbrush or toothpaste, and they do not change your towels every day. Toilet had a bathtub that had no stopper (???). Overall, relatively clean and big room with a safe, but it’s the little things that are annoying.
WiFi: Felt like a sham - free, but limited to only 1 device - device you log in with will be the only device you can access wifi from for your stay. Wifi is much better in the lobby/bistro next door.
Staff were friendly, lobby was pretty nice to chill at. Rooftop had a pool and lovely views of the city.
Pretty decent for the price paid, but maybe a more modern hostel at a convenient location would be a better choice.
