I found the location was too remote for me, I prefer shopping districts and restaurant areas. The river ferry service was close by and essential for access to BTS (Skyrail) the subway is 15 minute walk but not handy to anything without 15 minute trip. The hotel appeared clean but. I noticed some dust, I am a bit allergic to dust. The room was comfortable and serviced regularly, mini bar was warm

Decent budget hotel
The hotel rooms are more or less equivalent to what you see on hotels.com. The only exception are the bathrooms, which need to be renovated. Friendly staff, no in-room dining, not the best location (far from public transportation) but vlose to the river.

The hotel is in a pretty good location, just a few minutes from the riverside boats and a convenience store. The nearest Sky train stop was an easy 15 minute walk. There are some great local restaurants in the area. The hotel is a little old but functions well enough for the price. Our room was clean and cozy. Breakfast had a few different choices and was reasonable. The staff were charming and did their best to help us. However, the internet connection was unreliable and the shower had lukewarm water. I would certainly stay at the hotel again and would recommend it to a friend who is looking for a small, reasonably priced, friendly hotel in a safe and convenient location.

If you use the boat and than BTS you are in a good location. Nice hotel that could have only a little better with staff that know something about guest management and of cleaning would be more efficient.

Very good location, just minutes from the river taxi, River City, Charoen Krung Road. Very clean, everything works. English a bit of a problem but no big deal. Reception did not know where "National Museum" is, but this was probably an English issue.

very nice smiling staff, clean rooms, big beds, regular size breakfast, great decoration! They provide umbrellas and there is always water and candies at the lobby. The Ferry to go to the main areas and see the temples is just 2 minutes walk! the best touch? at checkout they gave us a goodie bag with water bottle, paper tissues and a little packet of crackers :-) First time in my life! The only drawback is that there are not a lot of restaurants around, just the ones from the Sheraton Hotel, a few street vendors. all the same, Harmonique, a very good restaurant is a 5 min walk away.

Very good lodging close to Chao Phraya River
I traveled to Bangkok for the Thai International Medical Center & stayed at P&R for 1 week . P&R was very close to a Chao Phraya River ferry dock & is a short ride to the sky train . The hotel is an original Thai building , clean & upgraded with WiFi for each floor with excellent signal . The rooms are quiet , clean , with very good AC ( important in Bangkok ) and hot showers . There is also a small fridge to chill beverages . An excellent matcha / expresso shop is across the street . At P&R you get the important basics for a very good price . I will stay here again when in Bangkok .

The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly, although not great English ability. It is in a quiet, calm neigbourhood, with a 5 minute walk from the water taxi that can take you anywhere in Bangkok - so very conveniently located! Sheraton hotel is close with more restaurant options for evening dining.

Great hotel and location for the price. Easy access to the river. My only complaint is the front door. The front of the hotel is made of sections of wood slates. One of the sections is the front door, but it is unmarked so it just looks like the wall making it difficult to find. A small sign or different color would really help.

The hotel is located close to the river, but don't expect for any river view as the hotel is not high rise. The room is perfect. Getting food is not a problem with just a few minutes walk. Overall, not a bad option for a short and quick stay.

All great, nothing to complain
the hotel is very close to a water taxi stop but we also walked from there to the attractions. you get to see how people really live there and walk through some interesting areas. it will take about an hour or so, though. the place was great, spacious room, people really nice, nice little breakfast if desired. all very good

Very basic hotel in a good neighborhood, close to the river. Basic rooms, concrete floors, metal frame windows. There are nice touches such as Thai & Buddhist art throughout. Oriental rugs in the lobby. No amenities but breakfast and light snacks are served.

Quiet and lovely hotel
Was invited to a dinner cruse at River City pier so chose the nearest hotel (besides Sheraton hotel which was over-budget for this time.) The room is clean, spacious and decorated with tasteful classic furniture. The staff were friendly and kind. Overall, I was happy to stay there. If they put a water boiler in rooms, that'd be perfect (you can get hot water at the lobby.)

Quiet hotel
great little hotel away from busy, chaotic city. It's a bit far from Hua Lumpong station (take a taxi for about 50bhats but tuk tuk may charge more) but its right next to Si Phraya pier. You can take the water taxi up and down the river for easy touring. Very quiet neighborhood and its next to galleries, up and coming art district.

Great hotel outside the city centre
Everything about the hotel is great - the service staff and the cleanliness, the size and homeliness of the rooms. However, it's located a distance away from the city centre, and because of that, the area is generally not very touristy. Great if you want to see suburban Bangkok, not so great if you want to get food on a weekend past 9pm. I highly recommend it if travelling by taxi to and fro points of interest isn't a problem.

Nice tiny hotel in a very nice area!
The hotel is very pretty, some rooms have been renovated and some rooms have not. So just look at the prices. It is just next to the big Sheraton, so we went there to get money, etc. There is a Pier 1 minute from the hotel where you can take the boat along the river. And it is a few blocks walking from the Lebua tower, (the bar from hangover 2). The price is extremely good for the area. We stayed there 4 nights and every day they were working on the hotel and renovating everything but we couldn't hear noise at all. You need to "book" your breakfast a day in advance so they can prepare it for you, it's good and very cheap. Rooms are very spacious we stayed in the cheap ones, but they were fine, not elegant but clean and with more than enough space and furniture.

This was a great little place in an excellent location! Clean , comfortable ,and very affordable. Infact it's just around the corner from one of the most expensive hotels in bkk .. Not to mention River city is close by for shopping , massages and food plus the piers for river taxis are close by as well..I'd totally stay there again the next time in bkk

It was very easy to get a taxi and to get back by taxi due to the proximity of the Royal Orchid Hotel around the corner. The hotel is tidy and efficient but the air conditioning had a smell that was annoying. If it were left on it was not bad but when you return after a long time gone it took awhile to recover. The breakfast was yummy. The price is hard to beat.

The staff here was friendly and helpful. it was also pretty clean. We broke up our stay in Bangkok as we flew in and out of other cities. The staff let us keep our luggage here which was super helpful. It allowed us to travel without checking in baggage and buy souvenirs knowing we could keep it at P&R. The place is a block away from the bus line and river express boat which was convenient but a little far from the bts. We just took a tuk tuk to the bts if we ever needed to. There is also always taxi cabs passing by because the Sheraton is down the block. If possible, take a taxi from the big street instead of the ones parked in front of the Sheraton. Those taxi cab drivers charge A LOT more. Also take the boat ferry which is convenient and only 15baht (50cents) instead of the tour boat. The tour boat charges a lot more for tourists just because they dont know better. Enjoy your stay here!

Nice retreat from busy, noisy Bangkok. Close to river, so it's easy to use express boats to visit the important sites in the city. There are nice dinner cruises on the river too, and it's a quick walk to the pier from the hotel. No concierge services to speak of, but hotel staff can tell you where the closest tour agency is (just up the street).
