"My stay at My Dream Boutique Resort was a mixed experience, but one thing that truly stood out was the staff. They were absolutely wonderful—extremely kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality and willingness to assist with anything really made a difference and was easily the best part of the stay. Breakfast was decent and provided a good start to the day. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to town, which was very convenient for visiting the night market in Luang Prabang without having to worry about transportation. Their complimentary airport shuttle was also very helpful and made arrival easy and smooth. The staff also kindly helped me book my train ticket to Vientiane, which was very helpful and made the process simple. I also arranged a full-day private trip through the hotel to the waterfalls and the boat ride. The trip itself was enjoyable, although the $145 price felt a bit on the higher side compared to similar tours in the area. The main downside was the room condition. The rooms felt somewhat run down and could definitely use some updates and maintenance. The shower pressure was quite poor, which made showering less comfortable, and the Wi-Fi was quite slow during my stay. Overall, the incredible kindness and professionalism of the staff really stood out and made the stay more pleasant, even though improvements to the rooms and facilities would make a big difference."

"Good value , clean room and good AC and Wi-Fi. Location is tricky. It’s good since it’s on quieter side of town but bad because bamboo bridge wasn’t there and had issue getting around if boat wasn’t available. Some tour or van don’t drop off or pickup from this location "

"Central location, friendly and attentive staff. Great breakfast to start you off for the day. Excellence aircon in room, spotless clean. Giving of alms is right outside the hotel. Offered laundry service and transfers at reasonable cost. Only gripes, room quite dark and no tv. "

"We love this hotel. This hotel used to be the house of the last king and queen of the Kingdom Laos. We were greeted directly at the Luang Prabang Train Station by the hotel's complimentary shuttle, a thoughtful and welcoming gesture ;) The location was beautiful right by the Mekong River. The location was in the heart of everything and we walked pretty much every where. The view from our room was beautiful and we certainly enjoyed it. The grounds were immaculate and very well taken care of. The service was amazing and at the reception -receptionist India was so sweet and helpful. She took the time to talk to us and made us feel very welcome. Lovely breakfast included with Laotian food and fresh fruit, eggs, baguette, jam, meats, coffee/tea. If you’re a coffee lover , there are some great coffee shops on the river and Main Street a couple of minutes away. The rooms are quite big, clean, and have nice balconies.Very comfy bed! I can confidently say that this one offers the best value for your money. The rustic balcony provides a charming view of the Mekong River and incredibly quiet. Hotel staff are extremely polite and professional and always greet you with a warm smile. From the front desk staff to the breakfast staff, everyone was so welcoming. I'd highly recommend Victoria Xiengthong Palace hotel for its peaceful atmosphere, beautiful views, and excellent service. A great choice for a relaxing stay in Luang Prabang! This hotel truly deserves 5 stars!"

"In a hotel that aspires to an elegant, higher-end standard, the staff should be able to communicate at least in English, or in any European language. Unfortunately, communication here is practically impossible without using Google Translate. The problem becomes even more apparent in the afternoon, when the daytime staff leave and are replaced by other employees who are unable to provide even basic information or handle simple requests. This is one of those hotels that looks very promising at first glance but turns out to be deeply disappointing in reality. The property clearly aspires to be an elegant hotel, yet the level of organization and service falls far below that ambition. From the very beginning, the staff appeared confused and unprepared. We were initially taken to the wrong room, only for the staff to realize afterward that we were not assigned to that room. Situations like this should not happen in a hotel of this category. The internet connection is unreliable and frequently freezes, which further complicates the stay. The biggest disappointment, however, was the gym. The presence of a gym was one of the key reasons we chose this hotel. In reality, the “gym” consists of two random, poorly maintained machines — a bicycle and a treadmill — which absolutely do not meet the standards one would expect from a hotel positioning itself in a higher category. The hotel is located far from the tourist center, in a remote area, which makes guests entirely depend"
