「Lovely quiet and secluded. The area around the lodge is absolutely breathtaking. Breakfast and dinner were lovely as well. We used the lodge as our base for a couple of days of hiking in Connemara and it was perfect! The only issue we had was our room was too hot and we couldn’t find a thermostat to lower the heating, opening windows was not really an option because of insects.」

「From the moment we walked in and we were greeted at the front desk, to our breakfasts, to dinner in the resturant the staff made us feel right at home. The rooms themselves were large, very clean, the beds comfortable, and the views of the clew bay amazing. Room service was fast and hot, the laundry service as well was very fast. I would recommend this hotel in a heart beat to anyone. We stayed in many hotels while in Ireland and this one was by far the best. As a side note there is a lot to do...

「Beautiful, spacious property. Practical Details for Americans: they have a water kettle not a coffee pot, so purchase instant or bag coffee before you come, not beans or ground. They have a washer and dryer. You need to bring pods and be aware, it's a condenser dryer that takes about 2 hours to dry a verysmall load (5-6 items). Be sure to empty the dryer water tank. It's muddy on the property, so bring slippers or alternate shoes plus something to put your shoes in to protect your suitcase....
