Central location walkable to dining zone and next door to City Hall and excellent tourism office. Grand historic building with museum quality decor, and lots of historic wall prints and memorabilia. Rooms comfortable, feel like you are back in the days when Mark Twain and royals came here to stay.

The staff were all very friendly & helpful, whether they were at the reception desk, restaurant or cleaning the rooms. Our room was clean, the restaurant was really nice & the front bar was quite nice to sit and enjoy a drink or two. The only negative is that there is t enough parking available for guests & street parking is $3.60 per hour.

Clean room and good staff. Part of the building was under repairs and it probably could have been temporarly covered up while guests were around. Our second good experience. P

This hotel is beautiful. We stayed in the room at the end leading up to the turret. Hotel is in a great position, close to restaurants and shops. Breakfast menu is good. We found parking on the street close to the entrance a little difficult, which wasn’t ideal as it was raining during our stay and the parking is metered after 9am. But would definitely stay again. The staff are also great.
