Breakfast was fresh every morning with fresh bread sausage bacon eggs. Continental breakfast a great variety of meats cheeses fruit. Staff excellent excellent everything meals. The rooms were spotlessly clean ample parking. It’s just a great hotel well recommended.

Historic hotel with village charm

This is something positively charming and divine about this hotel. The staff is very friendly, the room was beautiful and the bed very comfortable. I eish I had had time to stay longer snd enjoy the surroundings of Bad Essen.

Hervorragend!

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt bei Högers und würden es jederzeit empfehlen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Herzlichkeit des Personals beim Frühstück, sowie auch dessen Qualität und Auswahl von frischen und regionalen, sowie hausgemachten Produkten. Man hat uns auf Wunsch sogar extra auf der Terrasse eingedeckt. Es war perfekt. Einen kleinen Minuspunkt gibt es jedoch bezüglich des Deluxe Zimmers. In der Kategorie und bei neu gebauten Zimmern wäre eine Klimaanlage auf jeden Fall und zumindest für uns wichtig gewesen. Wir hatten große Terrassenfenster (keine Terrasse) Da wird es im Sommer sehr sehr warm und nachts kann man das Fenster nur ankippen, um ungebetene Gäste zu vermeiden.

Das Höger's ist sehr zu empfehlen. Es ist ein altes Gebäude, in dem es nachts auch mal ein paar Klopfgeräusche gibt, das aber auch gerade deshalb sehr viel Charme hat. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohlgefühlt und würden dort wieder buchen.

Hier komme ich gerne wieder

Sehr freundlicher Empfang am Abend der Anreise, das Zimmer war im Haupthaus (es gibt wohl auch Zimmer ín den Nebengebäuden). Alles historische Fachwerk-Bauten, mit Liebe zum Detail restauriert und renoviert, wirklich super schön und tolles Ambiente. Das Zimmer war perfekt für mich, sehr modern innen und im historischen Ambiente außen, gefällt mir sehr. Noch wichtiger ist für mich das Frühstück und auch das war wirklich Spitzenklasse, alles frisch, mit einer sehr großen Auswahl und zum Valentinsmorgen gab es einen süßen Gruß aus der Küche. Das es jedoch nur Rührei gab und kein Omlett möglich war, obwohl die Köchin offensichtlich in der Küche war, ist für mich immer ein "echter Minunspunkt"... schade das man hier so unflexibel war, denn das ist immer mein Highlight am Morgen... insgesamt gebe ich aber dennoch gerne die vollen Punkte für ein super Hotel.

Es blutet mir das Herz, aber leider kann ich nicht mehr als drei Sterne vergeben und auch das ist bereits ein Zugeständnis an meinen Gesamteindruck. Das Haus ist toll. Das gesamte Ambiente und der liebevolle Blick fürs Detail fielen absolut positiv aus. Die Lage und das gastronomische Angebot hervorragend. Das Frühstücksbuffet sehr umfangreich und vielfältig (u.a. frischer Obsalat). Die Verwendung regionaler und oftmals nachhaltiger Produkte klasse!! Doch leider, ja leider...hat das Hotel für mich den Hauptzweck - einen geruhsamen und erholsamen Schlaf - nur sehr schlecht erfüllt. Grund dafür war eine Raumtemperatur von dauerhaft über 22 Grad. Eine Lüftungs- oder gar Klimaanlage war in meinem Zimmer nicht vorhanden. Die kleinen Fenster (historisches Gebäude) brachten erst nach Stunden, mitten in der Nacht, Abkühlung. Durch die ebenerdige Lage, direkt am Parkplatz, stand das nächste Fahrzeug nur eine Armlänge vor dem Fenster. Eine abendliche Feier im Hotel sorgte für nächtliche Unruhe auf dem Parkplatz. Fazit: An erholsamen Schlaf war nur wenig zu denken. Ich bedaure dies sehr, war alles andere besonders gut.

Check In und Hotel spitze! Ausreichend Parkplätze vorhanden. Bad Essen ist wunderschön und lädt auch dazu ein sich die Füße zu vertreten. Zu bemängeln gibt es lediglich das viel zu weiche Bett und die Fenster des Zimmers 31. Im EG direkt an den Parkplätzen. Man kann die nicht kippen sondern nur vollständig öffnen. Keine Klima, demnach sehr unschönes Klima im Zimmer. Auf meine Bitte für die 2. Nacht das Zimmer zu wechseln wurde mir die Option nur gegen Aufpreis angeboten. Da ich über Hotels.com gebucht habe bekäme man laut Rezeption nicht unbedingt ein Zimmer im Haupthaus. Fand die Begründung eher schwierig.

Gute Lage! Für den Preis fehlte mir eine Klimaanlage in den Zimmer. Es war dort sehr warm. Kühlschrank mit Minibar war auch nicht vorhanden.
