This was an interesting stay. I called the morning of to confirm I could drop off my luggage early—no one mentioned the front desk closes at 7 PM and that I'd need to call an emergency number afterward. Luckily, someone was working late when I arrived. I had to carry my luggage up to the third floor, which wasn’t easy with a bad back.
The room was okay, but one window screen was broken and the window didn’t close all the way. The carpet felt rough and dirty—thankfully I always bring flip-flops. The TV remote didn’t control the volume, so I had to adjust it manually. Also, when guests log into streaming accounts, they're not logged out—I ended up watching HBO Max on someone else’s account.
The toilet didn’t flush properly and still didn’t work the next day. On my way out, I requested a repair and an ironing board (there was only an iron). Later that evening, I came back to find bugs all over the bathroom floor, carpet, and in my luggage. I called the emergency line again, and someone came to vacuum. Turns out they were coming through the broken screen. I closed the windows and stuffed the broken one with a towel.
The shower had stray hairs, which were long straight & brown, very different from my short curly hair. I had to use my hands to rinse the walls. Flip-flops saved me again.
Staff was nice, but I won’t stay here again. I’ll pay more for a cleaner, more functional room. The owners really need to update the property—starting with the carpet.
