Do not like the digital check in process. Very unprofessional for a service industry. No housekeeping provided. Was told you have to request. How do you request? Bed linens were stained when we arrived and were quickly remedied. Coffee in lobby is horrible and you have to fill the Kuerig water in your room. Bathroom was very nice but the idea of a pedestal sink and no other storage is just ridiculous.

A pleasant looking old hotel(?) modernized, lacked outlets in rooms, tiny window a/c, room was clean, sadly the main door to the Cove was kept open due to a broken Bluetooth doorknob. Notified the cove via text as there is no reception person, about door lock, no return message. My wife wanted another blanket which we asked for and again no response.

Trying to get in the lobby after hours for someone with poor vision is near impossible. The tiny numbers on the lock took me at least 15 min to figure out. Room locks are excellent. Upgrades great. Low bed makes it tough on knees getting up but it was very comfortable. After my shower I put a wet foot on toilet seat and found the floors were not clean. I had a question before I got there but chat never responded. No chair or table in the room. Overall still quite pleasant.

I liked many things about The Cove. It is old but has been remodeled nicely. It was very clean. The parking was great and really location a few blocks from the beach and Asbury shopping was excellent. In saying that, I was travelling with my mother and she is in her eighties. Our room was on the third floor and the stairs were steep with no elevator. Thisisthe only drawback and if you are travelling with anyone older, this has to be a consideration. We just rent expecting it and it made things difficult on her. If you don't mind the stairs. The place is really good.

The Cove is a very nice hotel and the best one Ive stayed in while in OCNJ so far. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The room and beds were comfortable and clean. I will definitely book there again in the future.

The Cove is in an excellent location. It is a very well maintained hotel with old charm. The only improvement I would suggest is a ramp from the street to the entrance and an interior elevator.

Disliked that I was constantly harassed with emails And texts to complete digital registration when I expressed that I would be checking in at front desk. That is an option during certain hours but they discourage it. Rooms were sparse but clean. Enjoyed the porch and coffee in the lobby . Staff was nice and helpful

The king bed room and bathrroom was renovated and was clean , however it was very tight and small. there”s no chair to sit , i was in my wet clothes from beach. the bed frame was dangerous , i was injured with those sharp edges sticking out, have to pay attention with the small space. you could hear peoples conversation from the hallway and people inside their rooms. Dont bolther using the washer dryer- it was disgusting, nonemployee went their for weeks. dirty 20 empty big tide bottles all over, showers in the back gross they should remove info at the desk about washer and shower. no option to upload photos as proof, not a hotel more of a bed and breakfast wothout the breakfast

Don't waste your money

We reserved a night at the Cove and added trip protection in case we needed to cancel. There was inclement weather and we, unfortunately, needed to cancel. Management refused to refund me my money and offered a pathetic $100 credit for any future reservation.
