Top Athens Hotel Reviews

Electra Metropolis Athens

Electra Metropolis Athens

10/10 Excellent
"The hotel was in a convenient location in the heart of Athens, within walking distance of just about everything: shopping, historical sites, the Changing of the Guard, and the tavernas and rooftop bars of Plaka. The hotel also has a fantastic rooftop restaurant with a gorgeous view of the Acropolis, This is also where a generous breakfast buffet is served each morning. The rooftop pool was another nice treat and a great place to cool off during the day when it was too hot to walk around the city. I also really appreciated housekeeping. Fresh towels were delivered during the day, and there was also turndown service in the evening. For convenience, I prebooked transportation from the ferry port using the transportation link provided on the hotel’s website. Unfortunately, that service was not reliable. Our driver never showed up, and we ended up flagging a yellow taxi from the port. That experience was not great either, as the driver was shady and overcharged us. I would recommend arranging your own transportation through Uber or using an official taxi from the airport or sea port. Once we were at the hotel, however, arranging transportation was never an issue. Overall, our 3-night stay was very enjoyable. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed, a large bathroom, and a great terrace. Our terrace happened to face a Greek rooftop restaurant playing Greek music which we got to enjoy with a glass of wine outside. The sound proof door when closed kept the noise out."

"Had a very comfortable stay here and will be back next year. Also when my travel was disrupted the hotel was very quick to respond and confirm a (very) late night check in was fine. One thing I'd mention is that the restaurant isn't rushed. Great if you're not on a schedule, but probably better to go elsewhere if you're in a rush."

Titania Hotel

Titania Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Everything was good, however, the room we were in, on the second floor had a view, through the available window, of the plumbing of the hotel with nothing else being visible. Shame. We asked for another room with some sort of view but we were told that none were available. As the rooms are charged at the same rate, no matter where they are, I feel we were disadvantaged in that room. There was also no shuttle to the airport."
