「This was actually our second stay at Lum as when our flights were delayed we wanted a little haven to relax and enjoy our extra time in the South. The staff here were so friendly and helpful and everything about the complex made it feel like a lovely place to stay. 「Firstly the reservation hadn't been received so I had to pay for the room again and rely on a refund from Hotels.com. Nice room but very noisy with train line adjacent to the building. Location wasn't great with a 20 min walk into Ahangama and no nearby restaurant or food shops. I left one night early but no refund for the unused night from the hotel. Overall not a good experience.」

「Rooms were quite clean and comfortable, and the location was very convenient. The pool area is lovely and relaxing. Breakfast was just okay, enough options, but nothing particularly memorable. 「What a beautiful gem of a boutique hotel nestled on a hill surrounded by nature. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and spacious. It was tastefully designed and filled with personal touches such as books and beautiful photographs. The restaurant called The Dutch is superb. The daily breakfast menu was our favourite breakfast on this trip to Sri Lanka. The entire property is exceptional. We can’t wait to return. 」
