"The best part of this hotel was the staff at the front desk and the door. They were super helpful getting us the InDrive app to catch a very early ride to the airport. The location was also very good, right by the ferry, train station and market. The room itself was very old and pretty dirty but the sheets were crisp and clean. The door key stopped working and it was a big problem also so they gave us a manual key. "

"The staff is made up of some of the kindest people I have ever met. They truly care about their guests and their comfort. The food is also incredible and I highly recommend staying and eating here. "
"From 8,000 miles away, Mr Shawky of Villa Misk foresaw and took care of all of my concerns. He took care of my transportation to and from the airport, train station, and any tours that I wanted. He saw to it that I had delicious home-cooked meals served at inconvenient hours, with plenty of drinking water! He knew that Philae and the controversy of damming the Nile were of great interest to me, and not only shared his personal insight, but arranged for a private boat tour with guide and pilot, who took me out to this phoenix of a temple, and then showed me the lake from dam to dam, to show me more of the unimaginable!
My stay was cared for by staff who made me feel at home, and let me relax after an arduous journey, while preparing for the next. Ahmed gave me a room with a panoramic view of the harbor and Philae Temple itself! He gifted me more than just a suite, he gave me memories that will last a lifetime. It took a bus, three planes, and a taxi for me to get to Villa Misk, but once there, I could have just sat by their window admiring the view and it would have been worth it, but only because Ahmed was in the background handling all of my concerns! I thank him, and all of the Villa Misk staff for their efforts. Each and every one of them went out of their way to make my stay a beautiful memory. Thank you for sharing your home with me!"
"We had a wonderful stay at Kato Dool Wellness Resort! The staff were very kind and accommodating — they even allowed us to check out late because our flight was delayed, which we truly appreciated.
The view from the top of the mountain is absolutely amazing, especially at sunrise overlooking the Nile river. Since the resort is located uphill, we had to take a tuktuk to go up and down to the village. The ride can be a bit bumpy and dusty, which some people might not enjoy, but it didn’t bother us at all and added a touch of adventure to the experience.
Overall, it was a relaxing and memorable stay."
"A nice hotel, with first class staff. When I was booking in I was asked what I had planmed for tomorrow, I said I was getting picked up at 0400 to go to Abu Simbel, and right away I was offered a boxed breakfast, top notch. Good sized room with a usable balcony. Plenty of room in the shower etc. Breakfast was a good selection. I would happily stay here again"
