Good place

The place was very good, overall. It was at a good distance from the main church, even if we had to take a rout that led us to a big hill. Breakfast, too, was very nice. The only problem is that this is a “private” place (I think) and after 18pm we did not find anyone to assist us with some requests (as in we wanted another pillow).

Great place to stay when visiting Assisi. The property is quaint with great views of the countryside and the olive groves. The owner is nice and welcoming, and communicating is not hard even though he doesn’t speak much English. Highly recommend this stay.

Pleasant country atmosphere

We were very satisfied with the cleanliness, the customer relations and the personal approach of the staff. The breakfast was appropriate. The only thing We thought that needed consideration was the bedding.

Such a lovely spot, set in olive groves at the foot of the western edge of the hilltown of Assisi, just below the Bascilicas of San Francesco. Wonderful communication from the host, sparkling clean, easy access. Right across the road is the pedestrian road (climb!) up to the basilicas and town. Good exercise! Also right next to a gravel road that meanders through the valley, for flat walks. I loved staying at La Piaggia.

Perfect location, a real gem in Assisi

It was a wonderful stay at La Piaggia in Assisi. A warm welcome, excellent communication and service from the host. Many thanks for helping with the heavy luggage up the stairs. The location is ideal for visiting Assisi on foot. Lots of parking space. Peaceful garden. Nice restaurant across the street. The breakfast was fresh, delicious, and plenty. The room was very comfortable and spotless. Many thanks from all our hearts.

Retrieving my lost iPhone

The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly. Unfortunately, I forgot my IPhone when checking out. The hotel promptly found it and notified me when I was in Ravenna. Since I had already moved on to another destination, retrieving it was challenging for me. However, the hotel went above and beyond by kindly offering to send it to my next stop. I received the iPhone last Monday and am immensely grateful for their exceptional service.

I could not recommend this place more. It is surrounded by olive trees that you can walk through and have an incredible view of the main city. It is just an 10-12 minute walk up a hill to the main city and St Francis’ basilica. Everything was very clean in the room and the air conditioning felt great after a long day in the heat and sun. The owner was incredibly generous and always available. He went above and beyond to make sure I found the place, carried my luggage to my room for me, made sure I got breakfast even when I was a little late, let me store my luggage when I had a late bus, and even drove me to the bus station so I wouldn’t have to walk because he was headed that way to the pharmacy. There was definitely a language barrier as I don’t speak any Italian, but he was nothing but kind and made me feel at home. I hope to be back to Assisi in the future and would not stay anywhere else! The restaurant right by La Piaggia is also very good!

Very small but nice place to stay while visiting Assisi. The breakfast is freshly made for an outstanding continental breakfast. Could not eat all that was placed on our table.

This was a very comfortable and quiet property with easy walking to the main church of Saint Francis and the rest of Asissi. Be sure to visit blessed Carlo acutities and ask for his very powerful intersection at the church of Saint Mary Major. The room was very comfortable and quiet and access to the main Church in the town of Asissi, of Saint Francis, is amazing and is literally across the road up a steep Hill. Do not be put off by the hill because a person of average health can climb it. I went up there twice without any problems and I am not an athlete..... the breakfast at the property is completely fine and it's totally filling and you will not leave on an empty stomach. There is a very nice sitting area outside the property with trees and you will be under their shade which is beautiful in the afternoon and also an evening stroll around the property is wonderful, where you can look upon the beautiful basilica of Saint Francis on the hill all lit up, among the olive trees on the property which are also illuminated. The host is a very kind and Gentleman and although he doesn't speak much English at all you can easily communicate with him and if you need to say anything more elaborate just use Google Translate. I had a very wonderful and relaxed stay and only wish I had the time to stay an extra few days. God bless you and I can really recommend this property
