Mespelbrunn Castle is a late-medieval/early-Renaissance moated castle on the territory of the town of Mespelbrunn, between Frankfurt and Würzburg, built in a tributary valley of the Elsava valley, within the Spessart forest. It is a popular tourist attraction and has become a famous Spessart landmark.

"We had a lovely stay - the room was perfectly appointed with a comfortable bed and mini kitchen. We spent every evening drinking the winery’s excellent whites out on our balcony with a view of the hills just beyond the little town’s steeple. The proprietors were wonderful. They made us feel comfortable and welcome with our very limited German, and breakfast was plentiful and enjoyable every morning. "

"Wir haben insgesamt 5 Tage im Glattbacher Hof verbracht und waren mit dem Aufenthalt sowie den gesamten Begleitumständen rundum zufrieden. Der Check-In verlief freundlich und zügig. Die von uns angemietete Ferienwohnung befand sich in einem einwandfreien und sauberen Zustand. Alle für den Aufenthalt notwendigen Utensilien waren vorhanden und es fehlte an nichts. "The hotel is excellent, with outstanding facilities and spacious, comfortable rooms. The restaurant offers very good food, and all the staff are friendly and professional. The location is ideal, just one train stop from the airport and four stops from Frankfurt city center. Everything was excellent."
