I requested to book a massage at their sister property, but the front desk never called back to confirm despite stating they would do so. I had to carry the luggage up and down on my own, which made me wonder what the doorman’s role was. Obviously, he wasn’t there to greet customers either. Breakfast and the staff managing it did an outstanding job and delivered on a consistent basis. "

"5*+ rating for this special hotel in Bologna. For my first trip to Italy, my stay at this hotel made the entire experience that much more special. From the moment I checked in, to when I checked out the entire concierge team were welcoming, friendly and gave great tips on what to do and where to go. I was very surprised to have received a room upgrade - west facing, simply the comfiest hotel bed I have ever slept in and, a gorgeous bathroom with decent water pressure. If I had an extra day to my trip, I would have spent it in the hotel really taking advantage of the bar, lounge and restaurant. Or, just sleeping in - the bed was that comfortable. When I return to Bologna, I will only stay at Savhotel Aemilia."
