Hotel Vista Nagoya was a wonderful and memorable part of our trip in Japan. The concierge staff was very accommodating about receiving our luggage ahead of our arrival, and even put it in our rooms upon check in day. They were also super helpful in sending out our souvenirs to the airport, so we could travel worry free. The best part of the day was the breakfast service, provided by the wonderful breakfast crew. Since we wake up at 6:30 during this trip, the breakfast service was a game changer in our daily travels, since almost nothing is open that early. They served vegetables, salad, daily changing protein options and sides, rice/Unagi rice, soups and the best French toast you'll have so far! I would go back to Nagoya just to stay here again. I recommend Genjikoh for the amazing Japanese experience of enjoying the open bath overlooking the ocean and the various activities in the hotel such as the scent workshop. We booked a room for 5 and it was spacious and was pleasantly surprised it has 2 toilets. The sea view was breathtaking. We don’t book the meals as we don’t eat raw food but we had difficulty finding a good eatery outside as there are few amenities nearby and they close early. This place is great for those who drive but inaccessible otherwise even though the hotel has a shuttle bus. We are glad we had a rental car and could enjoy this great ryokan experience!

If you’re traveling with luggages and need a cart, they only have a small trolley that is smaller than a regular luggage so it didn’t help and the hotel is on the 7th floor on the other side of the building while the parking is at the other end.

The hotel is 15min walk from the main Nagoya JR station (restaurants, department stores etc).
