"Un lugar muy bonito y tranquilo. Vi algunos colibris en el jardín y la familia es muy bonito, habla Quechua y español. Es un camino corto desde el centro de Otavalo pero sentí seguro en caminar allí. So much quieter than other properties in the center of the city. Breakfast is simple but sufficient and I felt safe walking to and from the downtown area for other meals. The owners are wonderful and speak Quechua as well as Spanish. Some beautiful long-tailed hummingbirds were out in the garden."

While the location and the staff cannot be faulted, the hotel clearly need some renovations in the spa and common areas. "Unfortunately there was an issue with their booking system and, although hotels,com showed that they had 3 nights free, they contacted me the morning of my stay to say they could only accommodate me for 2 nights, and I had to move for that last night, which was a bit annoying. But, saying that, the hotel was very comfortable for those 2 nights, quiet and breakfast was very tasty. And the room was very clean. "

"A wonderful indigenous host farm family makes you feel welcome in their home. Guests have their own separate quarters and bath. The farm is small but busy and productive, with cows, food crops, pigs, chickens, guinea pigs, dogs, cats, fruit trees and veggies. The views from above Cotacachi are phenomenal. Volcan Imbabura is on one side of the farm and Volcan Cotacachi on the other."
