Royal Amsterdam….. best hotel on walking street

I always stay here. Hotel staff always polite and professional. I will continue to stay here when in AC. Great restaurant on site for your comfort.

Convenient location

Hotel was very nice. Right in the center of activity. While that is why I booked it, it did come with some noise in the nighttime that you should be prepared for. The staff was very helpful and accommodating.

Nice and clean room but brighter lighting is desired. Toilet is ok, temperature control of the shower is very good. Staff were attentive and very courteous. Does not have an elevator so it may be hard for some to go to the upper rooms.

It is a very nice hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I don't mind staying there again but they need to fix the wifi internet connection. It drops often. If they could fix that I will be their regular costumer.

Very friendly lobby!! Can get breakfast beside. Middle of walk-in-street. Smoker before in room. No schampoo. After 2-3 days i get fed up of the area around. No elevator in hotel. But you get what you pay for. Still best service from personal.

The hotel is maintained very nicely, staff is great, and it is what it is when it comes to being on a Walking Street. It’s a great location if your looking to stay on the Walking Street and in the mix of AC. The one downside and needs to be said, if you are over the age of 40, make sure you request a room on a lower level. As you can see, the hotel has no elevator/lift, and it is literally 49 steps to the 4th floor. Granted, they will carry your bags when you check in, but walking those 49 steps every time you come back, OUCH! I stayed on the 4th the first night, paid a few dollars more and got down the the 2nd floor. After that it was a very good stay. And just for the record, the noise from the walking street is very limited and will not affect your night sleep. Again, staff are what make the difference here.

The hotel is old but in good condtition. The servers and housekeeping did a good job, however my checkin was the worst ive ever experienced in a hotel and that is the reason for my poor review. Upon checking in i noticed a leak around my toilet, called front desk. After 3 visits in an hour by the handyman he finally said I would need to change rooms. No one explained anything to me about how the keys worked or the amenities offered or anything about the room, plus i had to wait 2 hours in my room until they finally told me to just use the key in the electrical control. Its to bad the hotel is not bad itself and its a good location, but front desk needs a serious lesson on how to check a new guest in, it was absolutely a brutal start to my stay here and because of that i cannot recommend this hotel...
