The Gurume Resort in Andong is beautiful and architecturally very interesting. We enjoyed the historical atmosphere and the breakfast very much.

We experienced an authentic Korean stay at Andong Gurume Resort staying in the Chilgok Gotaek structure from the 1830's. The bathroom was modern whilst retaining the integrity of the rest of the property. The surrounds where also historic and an adventure exploring the grounds and other buildings. We had the traditional breakfast included in our stay, however the resort also has a cafe option with delicious pastries, coffee and other options. The staff welcomed us and helped us out with our transport as we wanted to explore some of teh local sights. Overall, an excellent experience and highly recommend.

Beware of this place if you have any expectation of having a comfortable or restful night. They donโ€™t tell you that there are no beds and you have to sleep on a thin bedding pad on a hard concrete floor. We woke up with horrible back pain. They say they accept check in until 10 pm but in fact when we arrived at .8:30 the man who showed us to our location was mean and impatient to deal with. This place should not be on Expedia as a lodging destination as it is only suited if you want to replicate your worst camping experience. That they call this a resort is an abomination. Stay anywhere else

This is a traditional Korean house, retrofitted with better sealing windows and modern bathroom. The space is small, but thatโ€™s probably not the point when trying out old houses that are several hundred years old. The location is very quiet and proximity to nice local restaurants (short driving or moderate walking required) was a huge plus.

Amazing traditional resort in a hanok village

Gurume Resort is located in beautiful area, within a traditional hanok village. The accomodations are in renovated traditional hanoks, with all modern equipment inside (AC, nice bathroom, fridge, kettle). The perfect combination of authenticity and modern comfort! The traditional Korean breakfast was tasty and plentiful. And, most of all, the staff, despite speaking very little English, was extremely nice and helpful, and we managed to communicate without difficulties.

Almost everything was perfect but didnt have clear instructions for check-in and check-out. Plus, no sign anywhere in property to show where to go for check-in. Had to call the property to ask and the staff said to wait as he would come and get us. He came with a gilf cart and took us to our โ€œroomโ€ and gave instructions in how to lock and unlock our property.

Sehr traditionelle und schรถne Unterkunft. Das Frรผhstรผck war sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich. Das Nudeln herstellen hat viel SpaรŸ gemacht. Wir wussten, dass diese anschlieรŸen nicht zubereitet werden, dachten aber dass es in der Nรคhe eine Mรถglichkeit gibt - dies war leider nicht der Fall.
