Loved the location, for a canal side venue and view. We assumed it would be noisy, and it was. Amsterdam is a vibrant city. Our host checked in with us part way through the stay. The location was great for sightseeing, cafes, shops and key museums. It was pouring down when we arrived, so sailed past as didn't see the house number. Instructions /directions sent by the host through Expedia were not accessible.

Excellent stay at this property! Room and amenities look exactly as pictured. Very clean and well maintained. The location is a 6 minute walk from Centraal train station so save on cab fare and use train from airport. Chinatown and Redlight district maybe 5 minute walk...Anne Frank House and Van Gogh museums approx 25 min walk. Fabulous neighborhood and very vibrant. My only difficulty was locating the entry door and signage, because without my reading glasses I am blind. If you see Harry's Italian restaurant you have arrived! Pale green door is the entrance. Fabulous Host. I would stay here again!

Velvet B&B in Amsterdam was absolutely spectacular. Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 4 nights and actually looked to come back in August but it is fully booked! It is the perfect location right in the heart of the city centre and a 5 minute walk from Centraal. The room its self overlooked the canal which was beautiful and was quiet on an evening. David was so friendly and kind to us. We would recommend anyone to stay here!

Very good central location near the Centraal train Station. Steep set of stairs going up to the second floor so be aware if you have heavy luggage. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There was some noise from the music playing downstairs at Harry’s restaurant so earplugs maybe necessary.

Having stayed in Amsterdam a few times before, this was easily my favourite of the places I’ve stayed. Great central location, surprisingly spacious room, a warm and gracious host who will greet you when you arrive. On top of that, the bed was extremely comfy, with the room feeling more homely than you would expect from typical city hotels. Top stay!
