Hotel Vondel is the absolute WORST HOTEL in Amsterdam I would not bother coming to a place like this! The hotel lies on expedia about amenities and also lied about having a 24 hour front desk! The hotel advertised 11am check-in and when we arrived we were sent away until 3pm as no room was available! Not front desk was working we had to talk to a door bell it was a very scary experience for a family feeling stuck across the world! After checking in to The hotel it was was small dirty and noisy next to a party place! Not suitable for family as they have a bar and a party atmosphere next store it completely ruined our trip booking this hotel caused a lot of extra in needed stress

Das Zimmer war klein aber das war völlig in Ordnung. Es war alles sauber. Die Lage ist super. Das Bett war leider sehr unbequem und viel zu weich. Schade, dass die Dusche keinen richtigen Duschkopf hatte.

Water worked only half the time but staff was kind and tried to help. Very steep steps to third floor was a bit scary if you have a big bag. Great location. Would only stay again if extremely cheap but don’t spend too much on this, especially if you need a shower badly.

Great 3 night stay at this hotel, the staff were really helpful and a comfortable bed. The bed could do with an extra pillow each but other than that the room was clean, shower was fine and if you're on a budget it's a good place to stay!

This hotel is in an old Dutch home with four levels and a very steep and narrow stairwell, and no elevator. My tiny single room was on the top floor, was L-shaped and barely fit me and my suitcase. It had a skylight window that clearly had a leak as there was mold all around the window and the room reeked of mold and bleach from the bathroom. This room might be fine for a young budget traveler with a light suitcase or backpack, but was not good for me. I will say the staff was kind and helpful.

Unless it’s all you can afford, don’t stay here. Rooms are the smallest I’ve ever seen. Washroom was HORRIBLE. No lift, had to walk three floors with two suit cases.

Lovely place to stay for an easy going couple of days. The location is wonderful as it's tucked away from the masses but Vondel Garden is a quick walk away if you wanted to spend some time in nature and close enough to the excitement not to feel left out. Rooms are a little on the smaller side, and as a result get very warm but make up for this with the size of the wetrooms and windows. Close to local amenities which is perfect if you're in the mood for a late night treat.

Beware if you have trouble with steps, there were 45 from front door to room 202. Of course they are narrow, that's typical. We found it charming, but we had only a small luggage and are in pretty good shape. It seems to have good security, and fair amount of hot water. Room 202 is a family room with a queen bed and 2 twins. Staff is helpful and friendly. The hotel is a just few minutes walk to Hard Rock cafe and great restaurants. Get off the bus from the airport at leidsplain.

Tiny top floor single room. Mosquitos in the room -- in October! Uncomfortable bed. But the worst thing was the water. In the late afternoon, the shower just barely dribbled down the wall for 20 minutes before the water pressure returned and the shower was then fine. Late on the evening the tap on the sink had nothing. No hot water, no cold water. Just some weird gurgling. 10 minutes later the water worked fine.

トラムの駅も徒歩圏内にいくつかあり、美術館なども徒歩圏内だったため観光に便利でした。 部屋は清潔でしたが、タオルの匂いはあまりいい香りでなかったので星−1にしました。 部屋の照明が暗めだったのと、隣が公園になっていて夜8時ごろまではすこし外の音がザワザワしている感じだったので、夜寝るだけならあまり問題はありませんがホテルでゆっくり過ごすのにはあまり向いていないかと感じました

Absolutely no running water in our room, unable to shower or use the sink. Was offered to quickly use another room to shower in after guests had just checked out… so had to walk into a dirty hotel room, dirty bathroom, wet bathroom floor… and still their running water didn’t work properly
