We stayed here for two nights during our time in Amsterdam. You are very close to both a grocery store and the tram which will get you anything the city quick and cheap. There are a lot of restaurants in the area. There was some construction going on during our visit in the lobby area. But our room on the third floor was clean bright cheery and just what we needed and expected I’d recommend and I’d stay again.

Super convenient for us. ur son lives 100 meters from the hotel. It is a non-tourist area. Small, quiet, very Dutch.

Decent but quite noisy, especially as it’s an old building you can hear other rooms pretty easily, and the street if you are on that side. Nice to have the mini fridge and kettle in the room. The bathroom design is really poor though : the door open on the inside ! So to access the toilets behind the door it is super inconvenient as the sink is blocking the way as well… This door should definitely open to the outside !

Room with a single bed is small but OK for 1 person who wants to be in a good location. The small pillows provided are not good. They should be replaced with full size latex pillows for better comfort and support.

Wouldn’t recommend.

It is a very nice building. The breakfast was good, but the room was terrible. The mattress kept sliding off the bed. The toilet seat kept sliding around after my husband fixed it. There was no working fan in the bathroom either.

The hotel is only just outside the city centre but has good transport links and so getting around is very easy. The staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. The room was small but was en suite. The room also had team and coffee making facilities which is unusual for a budget hotel in the Netherlands and a welcome surprise. Sadly the TV in the room was broken, I reported this to reception only to be told many of the TVs in the hotel did not work and that it was down to the WIFI. Strangely the hotel WIFI worked fine and I was able to connect my phone it and use it without problem. I don't visit Amsterdam to watch TV but it is the reason this review is only 4 stars. The breakfast was good, continental buffet style and for only 10 euros a bargain. I will stay here again when I next visit Amsterdam.

Bed bugs, dirty mattress and poor customer support

There are some problems with the hotel. It’s in poor conditions, the mattress had red stains and the bed sheets were brown at the corners, the walls are dirty, and in general there is a lot of construction that needs to be finished. These things are tolerable, but then on our second night we found bed bugs on our bed sheets. The staff told us to contact the company to get a refund, but after sending emails and making phone calls, no one has answered us. So unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. It wasn’t a comfortable stay and the customer support is really poor

From the outside, the hotel is not inspiring and that impression continues when you go inside. I had a number of confusing messages before check-in about having to provide another credit card, despite having selected the option to pay at the property. The room was basic, but ok. Bathroom was small and the shower flooded the entire room as well as splashing into the bedroom area. TV didn't work on arrival but was fixed and the door to the room didn't lock, but I was told this was a security feature! Location is pretty good for the RAI and it's easy to get into the city centre on public transport. Didn't try the breakfast, apart from taking away a couple of pastries, but it looked basic.
