"The photos on the website are dated. The pool area is nicer than the images shown, furniture is newer and the pool is heated. We had a great time there one evening. The bar area was opened but they did not serve the guests at the pool. Half of the hotel has been remodeled and has updated finishes - And, that is what we were expecting, but it was not offered. We stayed at the outdated wing. The climate is hot and humid, so be aware that the restaurant area does not have air conditioning. We returned from dinner on the first night out to find out that there was not a front desk person available after 8:00pm - And the hotel was in the dark (no emergency lights either) when we returned. Power outage... and the hotel does not have a power generator when electricity goes out. Besides that, the staff was helpful and kind. We ate out most of the time, but decided to have breakfast there...the artesan bread and marajo' butter + doce de leite were amazing."

"The receptionist not very nice, they didn’t treat me they way my mom and myself should , but topical Brazilians. When someone else is well dress , they pay more attention. Good was great and the servers amazing. The door man super nice and very helpful with my mom. I took her to Para to the Mercado ver o peso, for her 80 th birthday. It was great. Room service was fantastic but the room wasn’t clean . The bathroom at the lobby was very clean. I would go back. "
