Don’t know what to say, the location just across looking over the ocean, nice restaurants next door. An excellent host and yummy breakfast list goes on and on. Very spacious rooms. Wish I can give 10 stars.

Lovely family owned hotel located in quiet area close to Amalfi. Delicious breakfast included. Nice terrace with beautiful views. Authentic Italian restaurants near by. Loved the tranquility of the area and the hospitality of the hosts. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful play to stay at the top of Amalfi. Amazing views. If you are worried about how to get there, don’t be. The bus system is flawless and runs every 15 minutes.

Great hotel. Very clean. Lovely breakfast and coffee. In picturesque village up the mountain with easy access by the bus. If you are feeling energetic you can walk the switchback trail down to the town of Amalfi.

This hotel is an absolute gem! Great location with beautiful views and a pretty good breakfast. The rooms are very spacious , Clean and with everything you could possibly need. The bus to get down to amalfi is right outside this corner of this hotel, always on time , runs every 20-30 minutes and costs less then 2 euros. There are a few nice restaurants and a pub at a walking distance and most importantly, the staff at villa Maria is top notch, Andrea went above and beyond helping us with reservations to tours , transportation etc , always such a pleasure to interact with him and his staff , they truly make the experience even better by their amazing hospitality. 100 out of 10 for Villa Maria.

Our stay at the Villa Maria was awesome! If you are looking for a nice quiet place just outside of Almalfi, this is the perfect stay. The hotel hosts are very nice and the rooms were clean. There is lots of good restaurants within walking distance and everyone in the town is very helpful and friendly.

You do not want to drive in this part of Italy. Hardly any parking and your rental car will be scratched by a crazy driver. Check in at Villa Maria, park your car and take the local bus that runs very frequently to the Amalfi Coast 1.5 euros, take that spend your day enjoying your experience of Amalfi Coast, and Positano. Last bus back is at 11 PM. Enjoy your worry free experience of this Italian coast, with stunning views, with a great stay at Villa Maria.

Amazing view

There are breathtaking views from the terrace. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was excellent. The restaurant a staff recommended was delicious and excellent service.

Great small villa away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. It’s less than 30 min to walk or bus to town. Beautiful views from our room and the veranda where we had breakfast everyday. The staff was always nice and helpful. Would stay here again.

Lovely little property. Had a family feel. Staff are excellent and everywhere is so clean. Cakes at breakfast are home made and added to warm freshly delivered croissants, you cannot go wrong.

Comfortable and peaceful accommodation away from the hassle and bustle of Amalfi. Situated in a village called Pergerola, accessible by bus from Amalfi; not walking distance. Bus fare was very reasonable - tickets purchased beforehand at the cocktail bar or shop. Good spot to stop for drinks at the local Cocktail Bar which had splendid views of the coast from the village. Very friendly staff who helped with local knowledge like using the buses. Enjoyed breakfast outside on the terrace with the wonderful view.

This guest house has prominent position in the centre of Pogerola village, up in the hills 1000ft above Amalfi, with amazing views over the hills to Ravello and out to the sea. The village is small but well served with restaurants, bars. Walking to and from Amalfi is not for the faint-hearted, but there is an excellent bus service down to Amalfi, and the return shuttle runs till 11.30pm. Antonio is a friendly and excellent host, and nothing was too much trouble for him. Our room was clean, bright, spacious and a bit quirky - in a good way! Would highly recommend if you want to visit Amalfi and avoid the over-priced and eternally busy centre there.

Great service for such a tiny spot.

Clean room. AC worked but only while in the room. Overall positive experience. Hotel staff really do everything they can to help! Didnt realize Pogerola was a 15 min trip from Amalfi when I booked. Dont underestimate the cliff!

Our room was on the main floor, above the restaurant, we could smell the food in the room and it was noisy until closing. We could hear them cleaning the kitchen. We could hear them bringing their trash containers when it was trash collection day, very noisy. The room was clean and spacious. Bed was nice and firm. Breakfast was very good and well organized. Lots of variety of fruits and croissants were fresh and delicious. Nice outdoor dining with view of the mountains. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Neighborhood was quiet and safe. Bus was very convenient and very close to Villa. We would love to come back but would like to have a room on the second floor, where it’s more quiet.

Great place to stay when visiting Amalfi. Free public parking, close to the bus stop going to Amalfi, center of a town but very quiet. Nice staff and very good breakfast. The view from our room was of the valley, very beautiful. I will stay here again.

The hosts were fabulous! Very informative and helpful. The little town surrounding this hotel was nothing short of fantastic. Everyone was friendly and the food was authentic and delicious. Very quiet compared to the waterfront in Amalfi so it was a welcome respite each night. And the views were spectacular!
