We went early on a Friday morning and managed to beat tour buses, so we got the site to ourselves for a few minutes before the crowds came in. It was really beautiful and worth the trip out from Belize City. We had a great tour guide, Allister, from Tuff e Nuff tours. When considering this site as part of a trip to Belize, we realized it would have made the most sense to have stayed within Belize City for the night and taken the trip from there. We combined with cave tubing, which was another hour drive from Altun Ha. All in all a great day!

This was interesting, but I've been to other ruins that are larger and more impressive. If these are your first ruins, though, you'll enjoy them.
